One day during the covid lockdown.. do you remember those days when there was hardly any traffic and no one was going anywhere and everything was quiet.. it was on one of those days that up the street I heard the sound that only a horse player would recognize.. the sound of a gambler hollering at the television TVG in fact hollering like a crazy person.. this was the sound I heard on that quiet covid day.. a few doors up the street.. that's the day I met Hawaiian Dan. He's not a member of The Forum yet and not really a computer type guy.. he's still busy out in the real world.. anyway like I said, he's a horse degenerate.. just like us. He loves horse racing like a crazy person.. just like us. Two shares for $50 to Hawaiian Dan. One share for $25 to Ibetponies. Thank you again to Mr. Hendry for managing the accounts. I have a very good feeling about this effort! Would love to hear everyone's philosophies on Pick 6 plays.. I feel strongly we have to have at least one single to live or die by.. two if we're Brave. I don't want to play to break even. My Philosophy is to swing for the fences in whichever manner we choose to attack the question.. the puzzle.. of the BC Pick 6. Talk to me 'shoes.. how would you go about it? |

Hi Bev - Been trying to get money transferred through paypal for a week (stupid - I don't often use it and this is why). Says funds should be available on the 26th, I'll send em if I get em. (isn't e-transfer available in the states- I can send money to anyone in canada securely from my bank - by email?)

Just for discussion sake and because i enjoy thinking about the Breeders Cup IF we were to end up with a total pool of $2,000 we could construct a wager for the $2dollar minimum pick 6 consisting of 5-5-5-4-2-1 in terms of our per race number of selections. Arguably, the single would/could be Flightline which would leave us some pretty wide leeway on all but the one other race where we would need to be pretty precise......  |

Just my opinion, but the idea of pooling together is to maximize the spread, playing all our combos for $2 is sort of defeating the purpose. I'd probably lean to a 2 ticket plan, or maybe 5 or 6 lol.... Main play something like you have above, but pick two different races to be the "2" on two different tickets, then a couple small tickets if we hit both "2" races. allows us to go narrow enough to make it affordable, but also gives us a couple paths to victory and a path to double up.
main play
5-5-4-4-2-1 = 800 2-5-4-4-5-1 = 800
if we wanted to get complicated... (x would be 2-3 contenders or bomb horses left out of the main play that leg)
2-x-4-4-2-1 2-5-x-4-2-1 2-5-4-x-2-1
if we wanted to play a group lotto ticket we could add
2-1-1-1-2-all (ya know, just in case... LOL)
