Oxted got pounded late. Opened at 16-1 marched down to 6-1 behind the gate and closed at 7/2. Maybe TW will credit me at 16-1!

Question...last race had 17 runners, place wager only paid to 3 places. Why not four ? Was not a handicap race. If I remember correctly British bookies only paid out on first four if the race was a handicap with 16 or more runners.

1st at 54-1 and 3rd at 22-1 in the exacta. Would have been my biggest hit ever ($1,073). Should've used the Mullins boys. Grrrrr.

Something that stands out to me, the lack of bumping, jocks cutting off horses and most of the crap we witness on a daily basis here in the States. Enjoyable to watch.

First 4 winners on top and end up losing for the day. Obviously wagering strategies backfired, missing out on what could have been a great start to the week.
Hopefully some of you did better
Great racing is an understatement

I missed eye123's OMNI winner earlier, very nice! Hit the race for $100 for a $3 wager, didn't need the winner Oxted.
I was close a few times, but overall a crap day with only a small exacta to show for it. 144 in, 21 out. Don't expect to win every day, but as spider said, liked four of the first five winners, couldn't connect.
In the finale at 14F, if you boxed the two Frankels (Gosden and Fellowes), you got $700 for a buck. Threw in the Appleby/Godolphin horse? Triple came back $4,300 for a dollar. Ouch.

$1 minimum on tris makes it difficult to spread as much as I would like—-love the ALL button for the bottom.
Over there, you can play .10 tris——doesn’t seem like much, however when you have the large fields, I like to box EIGHT runners(33.6 cost). 3 years ago I was over there, and they had just added wagering machines similar to what we have here. They had a person there to train everyone on them, and I ended up training him lol since no one was using the machines.
I showed him an 8-runner 10pence tri box(he had no idea that it could be done. After I keyed it(34 runners) and took the ticket, I wasn’t paying attention, and hit REPEAT instead of REFUND. So I had the ticket twice.
A 30-1 winner, 25-1 second and a tight photo between an 8-1 and40-1 for 3rd. I had all four on my tickets. Unfortunately the8-1 got 3rd, and for 10pence, the tri paid 1255pounds(I had it twice!).
It was the 2nd race on Wednesday—when I went to cash, the teller didn’t have enough cash, and had to issue a note promising payment after the 3rd race. Paid me in two sealed packets of 1000pounds plus the rest. Amazingly I upped my wagers and kept on winning that day. Made for a really enjoyable meet and trip, going every day.

Was even through Race 6 then hit a nice 4-horse box ($10 total) omni-swinger on Race 7 for $150. I could say I'm ticked that I didn't play the trifecta but I wasn't playing them and probably would not have played that one anyway.

Wednesday
Queen Mary 2yof 5F: The Marygate S. at York seems like it was a solid prep for this, so using three from there, winner 15- Nymphadora (7-1), third-place 6- Crazyland (20-1), fourth place 13- Mas Poder (15-1). The Clive Cox runner 9- Get Ahead (15-1) was a course winner last month, very expensive (2/63) purchase for his sire. 7- Desert Dreamer (8-1) is two-for-two, and the form of those races is holding up with subsequent winners. $1EXBOX- 6,7,9,13,15 ($20) Queen's Vase 3yo 14F: Looks like the Irish-runners may have a leg up. 13- Taipan (7-1) has been competitive in GIII company, perhaps the step up in distance will be the key for this son of Frankel. 14- Wordsworth (5-2) has been progressive in three starts, son of Galileo takes the logical step today for O'Biren the Elder. 3- Dancing King (10-1) is interesting for Mark Johnston, started career on the AW and kept improving on the stretchout, winning first two grass tries in latest. Steps up in class, draws the rail. $1EX- 3,13,14/1,3,5,6,12,13,14 ($18) Duke Of Cambridge 4up f&m 8F: 1- Champers Elysees (10-1) is my favorite horse-in-training, but her two runs this season have been flat. 2- Lady Bowthorpe (9-5) has been highly progressive since the start of her 4yo campaign, and her close second to Palace Pier in the GI Lockinge S. points her out. 3- Queen Power (9-2) was third in this event last season, once again turns back in distance but in better form this time. $2EX- 2,3/1,2,3,8,9,10 ($20) WIN- 1 ($10) Prince Of Wales's 4up 10F: Not sure that 7- Love (8-5) isn't simply the best horse in this race, but partly playing it that way. Hoping that 1- Armory (3-1) has matured further and runs like he did in the Irish Champion S. against Magical and Ghaiyyath. 3- Lord North (9-5) looks for a repeat win with Frankie aboard. Playing three outsiders for second looks like the only way to make a score. Great race, before the scratch of Lord North! $1TRI- 1,7/2,4,6/ALL ($24) Royal Hunt Cup 3up 8F: Playing 6- Brunch (15-1) and the 24f- Field on top, with several underneath. EX- 6,24/1,2,6,8,13,16,19,24 Windsor Castle 2yo 2yo 5F: 14- Flaming Rib (15-1) was second to Oscula on the Epsom Derby undercard, seems largely progressive. 22- Spring Is Sprung (15-1) runs in the royal silks, has a real chance. 26f- Golden Bell (5-2) showed evenly distributed speed on dirt, looked really promising in his turf work prior to this race.
EX- 14,22,24f/4,9,10,11,14,19,22,24f
Kensington Palace 4up f&m 8F: This is actually a very good race, eighteen 4yo fillies. 1- Lights On (5-1) looks like quality filly, hasn't missed the board in six tries, Stoute/Moore will win something this week. 3- Waliyak (15-1) is very consistent, every right to dispute the outcome. 5- Dreamloper (6-1) was just behind Lights On here last month, shaping towards a win in third start of the season.
EX- 1,3,5/1,2,3,4,5,15
Good luck if you play! Now, where's the coffee...? TW

Queen Mary- playing a 4-horse omni-swinger box of Desert Dreamer (7), Nymphadora (15), Quick Suzy (18) and Twilight Gleaming (19).

Wednesday 2:30 Race doesn't seem that strong, so I might play my first Wesley Ward here. #19 TWILIGHT GLEAMING looked good at Belmont, and was geared down late. The Arnold runner ran a nice race at Keeneland, though I don't think that he was in with much + dettori will make his price too low. Not sure about the connections, but like #7 DESERT DREAMER and #15 NYMPHADORA a little. The O'Brien #22 YET won on all-weather—I don't get that, however he knows what he is doing….
3:05 #13 TAIPAN comes out of G3s, losing twice to Bolshoi Ballet. don't see anyone of that level in here…#14 WORDSWORTH looks formidable, as well as #12 STOWELL and #6 KEMARI. Might box those in the gimmicks and #13 win.
3:40 #2 LADY BOWTHORPE is the tout—good enough for me, though the field seems quality. #3 QUEEN POWER seems to be a major contender. Like #10, #11 and #13 underneath.
4:20 If #7 LOVE returns like she was last year, she will be beyond special. Price being the issue, though #1 ARMORY and #3 LORD NORTH have returned in serious form. #6 AUDARYA looks possible to crash the gimmicks though the short field makes it impossible to go deep.
5:35 Two Wards in the field entry—interesting. Maybe a shotgun exacta box here, using the field along with #22 SPRING IS SPRUNG, # 11 DIG TWO, # 9 BOONIE and #3 ARMOR in the mix.

Nothing in the 2:30, but nailed the tri in the 3:05. 13 wasn’t good enough after sitting clear outside.
Loving the current odds on LADY BOWTHORPE at this time.

Tom, it's great to see the backyard setup in action. One month away from seeing Saratoga on that screen when you can't make it to the track.

Scratching my head on what and when they pay to fourth place. Yesterday handicap race with large field...they paid to only third...today first race two yr old fillies all carrying 126lbs...they paid to fourth.

Ascot race 6
Shopping for prices. Xpressbet had Chipolte at 28-1 Boonie at 23-1 Nyrabets had Chipolte at 17-1 Boonie at 60-1. (Xpress has separate odds each runner...Nyrabets had field wagering for post 24 and out. Field off at 6-5 The Ward runners at Xpress were Golden Bell 9-1 Ruthin at 5-2. Need to pay closer attention to this the next three days.

2nd and 3rd in the 6th——-a nice tri in the 2nd and surprisingly good exacta in the 4th gets me even for the two days.
A lot of missed opportunities(as usual). Great races to watch and wager—no complaints
On to ladies day!

They pay four places on fields larger than sixteen horses I believe. I noticed that when the fields are larger then 24...NYRAbets has field wagering...where Xpressbet I'm guessing is betting into the international pool. The odds are different (as in the last race) Might be opportunity there.

Norfolk: 5- Khunan (30-1) has made the frame in all four starts, progressed nicely from each effort, likely ignored in the wagering. 14- Second Wind (10-1) has won both starts, bred to be a solid sprinter, also draws outside like Khunan, which has seemed to be the favored ground first two days in sprints, along the stands-side rail.
EX- 5,14/2,3,4,5,8,11,13,14 WIN- 5
Hampton Court: Hard to get past 3- Mohaafeth (6-5) in here, he's progressed nicely through his five races and meets less than stellar competition today.
EX- 3/1,4,7,8
Ribblesdale: 7- Gloria Mundi (7-1) runs for the Stradivarius connections, daughter of Galileo could be any kind. 11- Noon Star (5-2) seems obvious after finishing close to smashing Oaks winner Snowfall.
EX- 7,11/2,6,7,9,10,11
Ascot Gold Cup: Great race to watch, maybe not so much to wager on. If the ground stays firm and he runs his typical race, then 4- Stradivarius (4-5) wins, and you can't make $$. The only one I can see having more than a puncher's chance is 12- Subjectivist (5-1) which was super-impressive winning the Dubai Gold Cup, draws inside, and looks to be the heir-apparent in this division. Trying some triples with those two on top.
TRI- 4,12/3,4,5,6,12/3,4,5,6,12
Britannia: 2- Horoscope (12-1) has been progressive through his six career starts, may prefer more cut in the ground but was only 4 1/2 lengths behind Poetic Flare over good going at Leopardstown. Draws down low and Moore will have to ride well to get there, maybe have to stay on the far side? 9- Mithras (10-1) draws the mid-field for Gosden/Dettori, seems better over firm ground. 24f- The Field has a couple of contenders drawn high, check the odds before post time in case there is value.
EX- 2,9/2,7,9,10,11,21,22,24f
King George V: 5- Act of Wisdom (20-1) couldn't handle Mohaafeth on seasonal reappearance, should come forward from that try and should relish the stretchout. 9- Kondo Isami (12-1) has made the frame in all five starts, took to the grass with aplomb and is another Galileo already proven at 12F.
EX- 5,9/1,2,5,9,11,15,19 WIN- 5
Buckingham Palace: 8- Danyah (10-1) looks interesting, and 24f- Lord Rapscallion (field bet) could hit the board from his high draw, but I'd rather bet him as a stand-alone, will have to look at Xpressbet.
Good luck if you play today!

Ouch While checking out the runners pre-race, I noticed how much better GO BEARS GO looked than NAKATOMI, and switched to BEARS….a lot of buzz on him-he looked and ran to it. If he wins, I nail the tri—nose loss I get nothing

Wesley Ward striking out so far which is surprising. His horses are nearly always over bet here which leads to some great value elsewhere.
