PSA In the u.s. "cosmetics" are not regulated (similarly, dietary supplements). Therefore i always carefully research. (Makeup that goes near my eyes, espescially. There is no Plan B for eyes...you get one pair and that is it). Anyway, there appears to be all sorts of dangerous bacteria found in many tattoo inks, at a % that would not be acceptable to me. www.forbes.com/sites/ariannajohnson/2024/07/02/bacteria-found-in-multiple-tattoo-ink-brands-study-suggests-what-to-know-about-tattoo-ink-infections/As an aside, i only use "usp" supplements. If you want to read up on what usp means, google it. Basically, all supplements designated as usp are tested by an independent org, that you will receive what the label says you will get, in the true amounts and potentcy, without high levels of contaminants. I trust the usp label, and have always used nature made brand. Also not overpriced. Very few supplements pass/muster their verification process, which i trust. www.usp.org/verification-services/verified-mark

I am tattoo-free, but I figured it was probably a pretty high % of people....from all walks of life. 32% seems about right. Why i posted the PSA since there are so many in the business these days thus people do need to be cautious. I was reading in medical forums of many in healthcare, including high levels (surgeons, radiologists, etc) have talked about having tattoos. Many choose to wear long sleeved lab coats so as not to receive "negative judgement" from patients or collegues, but i think that is going away, too?. But certainly many EMTs and ex military medics i have met over time do have a tattoo somewhere. I saw one of the Lifestar helicopter pilots had a few when I toured their rig. The tattoo landscape is pretty diverse these days, and quite socially and culturally acceptable from what I see.. housewives, kindergarten teachers, etc. On up to gang members. My PCP has a distinct pink strand in her hair which I think may have been a lot brighter at some point. Im just a minimalist who forgets to put on jewelry so body adornment isnt much in my profile. So chances of me ever getting a tattoo are slim. (yes, i did tour a lifestar 'copter out at an airport festival demo, very interesting...thought in case i ever end up inside one of them i wanted to know what was in there)
