RAS R1 (9:30am ET)- 6f Albany Stakes (Group 3) (Fillies) (Class 1) (2yo)
Going to try the quinella-key strategy again, but using the two most likely winners from Coolmore and Godolphin, unfortunately. They look quite advanced compared to most of the others. Maybe I'll get lucky with a surprise winner.
QUIKEY- 5,11/2,4,6,12,15
RAS R2 (10:05am ET)- 6f Commonwealth Cup (Group 1) (British Champions Series) (No Geldings) (Class 1) (3yo)
#3- Givemethebeatboys (12-1) is a consistent son of Bungle Inthejungle that cost $1.4M+ as a 2yo. That's a lot of money to pay for a sprinter. Has only ever been beaten by the best of his crop (Vandeek, River Tiber, Buchanero Fuerte), and none of them are here today. Would like to see Jessica Harrington get a win on the big stage again. #4- Inisherin (5-2) was a decent sixth in the 2000 Guineas, but Kevin Ryan turned him back to 6F last time and he crushed a field that included Vandeek and Orne in a GII at Haydock. Beat him to win.
EX- 3,4/3,4,5,13

RAS R3- 1m (7f213y) (Rnd) Coronation Stakes (Group 1) (British Champions Series) (Fillies) (Class 1) (3yo)
Seems like most of Aidan O'Brien's runners this year have needed their first run, so you'd expect #5- Opera Singer (3-2) to improve today, and she wasn't beaten all that far in the Irish 1000 Guineas as it was. I'm all in on #6- Porta Fortuna (7-1) which was beautifully progressive as a 2yo, only just missing in the BC JuvF Turf at SA. Started her sophomore season with a neck second to Elmalka in the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket. Drew PP5 which should be ideal for Tom Marquand, wouldn't mind a solid pace set by Ramatuelle and others.
WIN- 6 EX- 5,6/1,3,5,6,7

I did finally make a good score in the 1st yesterday. Tri in the 4th--nothing else. $50 to the good after 3 days--lucky to be that good. Looks like the early smart $$$ has hammered the #9 in half in the 1st today
Similar early thinking to 10f in the first two today:
Albany #9 gets us all well today!! Excited to see the walking ring and interviews. Orange makes sense to me also.... Otherwise....10f's Watson/Doyle combo has been quiet so far and is getting $$ attention. Appleby looks possible even as cold as he has been here and over there. The Aidans figure, and maybe Wesley gets a sniff. #17 win xbox 1-2-5-6-11-17
Commonwealth 10f beat me to it with the Harrington/Foley runner #3 GIVEMETHEBEATBOYS(expensive colt who ran well here last year). #3 win xbox 3-4-6-9
back later--hoping to catch Bev on tv

tough beat out of a cheap O'Brien exacta in the 1st disappointed by no Hendry or #9 sighting.....
Coronation Don't see much opportunity for a good score here....short field evenly matched unless #5 OPERA SINGER gets hammered and shows up. #7 RAMATUELLE could be somewhat ignored to the O'Briens, and maybe #2 ELMALKA will freak again? #2 #7 win tri partwheel 2-7/2-5-6-7/2-5-6-7-9
Duke of Edinburg Don't have a feel for or care for this race. Dutching with #14 and #15 off of the trainer/rider combos
maybe done for the day

Can't figure out why odds are so high. Also on the #6 Kinda Blue, who is undefeated x2 and is going off at 15-1 right now Twinspires is giving R1, 2, 3 and 6 "get your bet back" so your first win bet in those races you may as well go for the gusto! Found it under "offers".

Nowhere…… Not surprised by any of the winners or runners in the money, though very surprised by how these races are being bet over here…… Pretty large difference

Soprano was nowhere on my radar. Strutting and Uluru were on my original LONGSHOTs list. I usually play them, so it didn't pay to go off script. I am only betting tiny amounts , 2 more races to redeem the day. Soprano (IRE)14/1 Strutting 33/1 Uluru (IRE)28/1 Indelible (IRE)

I'm very happy financially 🤑 with Porta Fortuna's ($8.80) win in the Coronation S. (GI), and equally happy for part-owners Steve Weston and Dean Reeves. What a great thing for them, winning again at the Royal meeting! Steve Weston, l., holding the Coronation Cup trophy. Next to The King. Shoutout to the Hot Scot Racing silks at Royal Ascot... TW

First 3 races chalk, then we got into the $11,500, $28,000 and $37,000 type trifectas. You KNOW the races except R6 and the first 3 that Obrien was hitting were just a little whacky when you look at the payouts.
Maybe Saturday will be more normal.
