Interesting Norfolk stakes facts.
Last 2 winners 50/1 and 150/1.
Last 5 winners came into the race off a loss.

RAS R1- 5f Norfolk Stakes (Group 2) (Class 1) (2yo)
Will use three longer shots with three logicals in Quinellas. Many times, 2yos make their biggest improvement jump in their second start, so including a couple of those. #1- Asterius (12-1) won readily on debut at Bath over good ground. Son of Mehmas was the 2nd-highest priced hip at the Goff's UK breeze-up sale in April, purchased by Wathnan Racing with races like this in mind. Stable jockey James Doyle bails out to ride Shareholder, Wm Buick should be an able substitute for trainer Archie Watson. #8- Moving Force (20-1) is another son of Mehmas, won on debut at Beverley, then finished second to the aforementioned Shareholder in the big 2yo conditions stakes there 12 days ago. Gets a favorable seven pound shift in the weights from that one today, gets good-to-firm ground, trainer is shrewd. #12- Tropical Storm (20-1) is a two-race maiden for Andrew Balding, but ran in two of the best 2yo maiden/novice stakes run in GB this year. Finished just behind shock Coventry S. winner Rashabar at first asking, then split The Actor and Al Quadra at Newmarket when missing by a neck. Drew PP2 which hasn't really been the side of the track to get the best run, but Oisin Murphy has been a force the first two days.
QUIKEY- 1,8,12/2,10,13
RAS R2- 1m4f (1m3f211y) King George V Stakes (Heritage Handicap) (Class 2) (3yo 0-105)
Thinking that one of the three highweights wins this, but they each have negatives. Won't make a lengthy analysis, too many horses can hit the frame here. Betting for luck, will try another quinella key and move along.
QUIKEY- 1,2,3/7,8,9,18
RAS R3- 1m4f (1m3f211y) Ribblesdale Stakes (Group 2) (Fillies) (Class 1) (3yo)
#6- Kalpana (9-2) Juddmonte filly by Study Of Man has progressed steadily through four starts, crushed handicap foes two back to earn a stakes try, finishing second to Friendly Soul in Listed race at Newmarket while well clear of the rest. Balding & Murphy production, gets good ground plus PP1 and should handle the increased distance. #13- You Got To Me (6-1) drew wide in PP12 but has form claims, with a win the Lingfield Oaks Trial before a decent fourth in the Oaks at Epsom over soft ground she may not have relished. Beckett and Hector Crouch had a nice winner with Doha yesterday, might try to go forward with a clean break, not much obvious speed signed up.
EX- 6,13/1,2,6,8,10,13
RAS R4- 2m4f (2m3f210y) Gold Cup (Group 1) (British Champions Series) (Class 1) (4yo+)
RAS R5- 1m (Str) Britannia Stakes (Heritage Handicap) (Colts & Geldings) (Class 2) (3yo 0-105)
RAS R6- 1m2f (1m1f212y) Hampton Court Stakes (Group 3) (Class 1) (3yo)
RAS R7- 7f Buckingham Palace Stakes (Handicap) (Class 2) (3yo+ 0-105)

A replay to watch:
Goodwood, May 25th, First race. Starlore. Last out of the gate, trailed the entire way, full of energy, entire stretch looking for opening, going inside,outside,inside...winner found opening,Starlore followed, but too late. Energy to the wire (and run out).

Ladies' Day! A beautiful sight, esp on a warm sunny day.
Not my day yesterday, nor for the 2 days. Shotgun exactas haven't worked since I havent caught any of the bombs on top. Only hit obvious small tpayoffs so far. So somewhat simplifying to dutch win plays. Won a little Tuesday, lost it back + more yesterday, but not in bad shape.
Norfolk All of the buzz and $$ is around Aidan's #13 WHISTLEJACKET. Probably deserved. I will try with #2 ARIZONA BLAZE(hot out there!) shortening back to 5f after an impressive win @ Curragh(following a good 2nd to the chalk mentioned above). Always interested in Balding/Murphey runners, so also #12 TROPICAL STORM(my children live in S Texas). #1 and #10 are worth a look also imo. #2 and #12 win tri partwheel 13/1-2-10-12/1-2-8-10-11-12
King George #2 GASPER DE LEMOS has a recent close 3rd to Birdman(who ran very well in tough yesterday). #2 each way xbox 1-2-3-11-13
Ribblesdale Sticking with Balding/Murphy #6 KALPANA off good firm form. Maybe Appleby/Buick finally turn it around with #2 the obvious DIAMOND RAIN? #6 WIN TRI KEY 2/6-8-10-12-13(the Obriens)
short on time hopefully more later
good luck!

King George V H. Gallantly Really interested to see how this one does, I've lost money on him a few times now. Then, they usually come in, once I give up on them . Went from 8-1 to 20-1 at 11MTP. I may have to put a little something on him ......again.

RAS R4- 2m4f (2m3f210y) Gold Cup (Group 1) (British Champions Series) (Class 1) (4yo+)
No reason to oppose #3- Kyprios (6-5) in this, perhaps one could squeeze a small profit out of a triple wager. Will use #9- Gregory (7-1) as a win saver, just in case Moore is keeping a wary eye on Buick and disregards James Doyle inside him. Golden Horn x Galileo mare sounds pretty good for a Cup horse, no?
TRI- 3/1,5,6,9,10/1,5,6,9,10 WIN- 9

Vauban will be perfect for the Melbourne Cup, a tad shorter in distance, where he is pointed. I was thinking this was a good conditioning.

RAS R5- 1m (Str) Britannia Stakes (Heritage Handicap) (Colts & Geldings) (Class 2) (3yo 0-105)
Going to continue with the quinella key strategy in the big field handicaps. I like #1- King's Gambit (21-1), #18- Dashing Darcey (18-1), and #21- Volterra (9-1) as the keys. They are all consistent, improving, good-ground types. Playing for luck again.
QUIKEY- 1,18,21/2,9,13
Had the first race quinella for $151.80, and landed the Gold Cup triple which paid a surprising $125.80, so might be smart to take the profits off the table after this one.

Caught a surprisingly good tri in the 4th just by keying the logical top two over ALL—-even for the 3 days so far
I’ll take your word for it and go with STARLORE each way in the 5th Same with FIRST LOOK in the 6th KINGS TIME in the 7th
Good luck!

Only problem for STARLORE today was the rest of the runners……

Did you have the exacta and triple as well? If so, you're in the green for the meet! Well done again. TW I only had the exacta. I was getting gun shy after starting my day after deleting Shareholder from my ticket. :slaps forhead: He was on there and I deleted right before I posted. But then I came home from the doctor and saw my trifecta results from Race 6, (see above) so I was still okay with how I did. My picks are to help others in case they are looking for horses in a race, or if somebody has a thought about the same horse(s) and wants a little confirmation that maybe it's a good pick. For myself, I usually play them different ways , depending on what I see on the tote board, and what I see of the horses in the field. So I play them close to post time. Some times exactas, sometimes trifectas, sometimes just singles if the odds are high enough Like the race with vauban, I played that one with him on top. *he didn't win*. So far, I am doing well for this meet, I really have no idea why. I guess I just enjoy these types of horses more and love the pedigrees and trainers/jockeys. I dn't remember if I did well last year or not.
