strange as it may seem I have been a huge Boston fan. Probably because of my Dad who liked the players.I recallwatching watchingthem with Dad on Sunday. He liked Halviceck Sam and KC Jones,Don Nelson...then along came Parrish and Larry Bird.

Was lucky as a kid to have occasional access to the locker room at "The Garden". 1969 game 6 of Celts - Lakers finals was played the day Majestic Prince won Derby. Watched both with Dad. Wilt, West and Baylor vs Russell, Havlicek, Sam Jones and Nelson. Last home game for Russell and Sam, should have saved the ticket.

Wyc going out on top. Can't blame him.
"Boston Basketball Partners L.L.C., the ownership group of the Boston Celtics, announced today its intention to sell all the shares of the team. The controlling family of the ownership group, after considerable thought and internal discussion, has decided to sell the team for estate and family planning considerations, the team said.
"The managing board of the ownership group expects to sell a majority interest in 2024 or early 2025, with the balance closing in 2028, and expects Wyc Grousbeck to remain as the Governor of the team until the second closing in 2028."
