Just Steel surgery

Apparently went well.  He received 2 pins, not one.  Looks like it wasn't a real clean, straight across fracture though.  Maybe someone with more experience can explain how a y-type fracture heals and about  outcome? 

I already assumed career ending as to racing, but wondering what else he might be able to do?

Bramlage has been doing this since 1986 and Personal Ensign. Was experimental back then.

Was off in right front 3 days before the race and should have been scratched.

Oh i didnt mean bramlage when i said more experience.    I was just wondering if any laypersons here could tell how a Y type fracture heals and affects horse afterwards.
