Interesting. The Beyer Speed Figure for the Grade 2 Risen Star Stakes run Feb. 17 at Fair Grounds has been upgraded by five points. Originally given a 90 for winning that race, Sierra Leone now has a 95. All other horses in the field also received a five-point upgrade. www.drf.com/news/risen-star-beyer-speed-figure-raised-five-points

It seems there are only two contenders with 100+ Beyer Speed Figures... Fierceness 105 Breeders' Cup Juvenile, Fierceness 110 Florida Derby Mystik Dan 101 Southwest Stakes Nysos (Baffert) 105 Robert B. Lewis.www.drf.com/derby-watch Important to note... Mystik Dan broke his maiden @ Churchill Downs.
Come along and ride on a fantastik voyage. All aboard!

Beyer quit giving figs for the UAE Derby? I note the BRIS futures pool 6 didn't even show the race in Forever Young's PPs.

Beyer quit giving figs for the UAE Derby? I note the BRIS futures pool 6 didn't even show the race in Forever Young's PPs. DRF. Forever Young clocked 1:57.89, about an average time for the U.A.E. Derby, but did turn in a strong 24-second final 400 meters. That not only topped the U.A.E. Derby but was faster than any final 400 meters in the 2,000-meter Dubai World Cup. The Timeform Rating for the race came up a 107, or roughly a low-90s Beyer Speed Figure.

Time aside ......what I found interesting was the face shield. (something new, do not see it in his other races) Trainer said added for protection against the kickback. Considering the move over to CD and a 20 horse field.....I like to see he (Forever Young) ran well with the addition. Only a positive considering what he'll be up against here. Trainer no stranger to shipping to US with positive results.

Thorograph board, Jerry Brown.
I haven’t done Saturday Kee yet but it’s going to be a big new top for Sierra Leone

Thanks hoop and eye. I think I may break down and buy thorograph for Oaks and Derby day. I guess the risk is in confusing myself after relying on Bris and video replays as my 2 main tools for so many years.

His graph reads 9, 4.75 and 5.5. Guessing his Blue Grass comes in around 0.
