Interesting riding switch with mount on the consistent El Grande O going from Kendrick Carmouche to Dylan Davis.

The Wood Memorial I think there are 4 horses that can win this race. There are 5 speed types in here that range from EP6 too E8 so there could be a chance we could see a little drag race at the bell.
After watching the Witters and if there is a dash at the bell I think Uncle Henry is capable of taking advantage of it. If the odds look taste take a bite.
Tuscan Sky looked impressive in his 2 races this year but doe’s he really belongs in here. It’s his first look at graded stakes competition and has only faced a total of 7 other horses . I’d want at least 7/1 to punch his ticket.
I do like Deterministic. He won the Gotham somewhat easily and it appears he could be the type that can strike from anywhere – but with only to races under his belt I’m counting my chickens before they hatch. But he did beat El Grando in the Gotham. He’s one of my two top choices in this race
El Grando is the top choice. There is a questions though. Why did Linda dump Carmouche? The only thing I could come up with is that he did and add a few not win any of the three races he rode for she wanted to see a new face in the saddle. The one thing that makes me think he can win – this is his first race on a dry dirt track so take a look at his wet track times and take a few, or several, seconds off that.

Saffie seems to like Merit's chances , I'm liking Uncle Heavy at the odds.

Deterministic did everything right and easily in his comeback. Certainly makes sense but this race rarely seems to make sense (or so is my recollection at least) in recent years.
Resilience actually appears to get a bit of class relief going here. I find it very encouraging Johnny V shows up to keep the call and I like the ML price.
Not sure what to make of Tuscan Sky…. He seems fast and has looked impressive but hate the fact both were on slop and no other comparison. Don’t think that he needs slop at all just would be nice to have a bit more to go on given he’s likely 7/2, has only beaten 7 horses in 2 races, and appears to be a workmate for many of the barns other horses in the mornings. Also, many others in here appear intent on the lead as well but leaning toward Resilience/Deterministic as the exacta with a dab of El Grande O and the other Pletcher as a bomb in Protective. Hey, we’ve seen it happen here before!
I do like a few other plays on the card: Finegal’s Cave in the Distaff(R6( and Barbarita in the Gazelle (R8)
