Two preps this Saturday... Jeff Ruby Stakes & Louisiana Derby. JRS: I saw Lookin At Lucky and War Chant run in person a few times. Lucky Jeremy is a decent 8-1 on the line. I'm backing his breeding. LAD: I like that Pletcher opts for the tougher of the two races. Agate Road is 8-1 on the line here... was listed at 7/2 in the Ruby. Seems to always be around at the end. Expecting a strong, confident run. The Ruby and the LA Doobie... puff, puff, pass along your thoughts on this weekend's races!

Has to be noted after scratching Agate Road from the Jeff Ruby that Triple Espresso from the same connections now draws in.🧐

Going with Endlessly on Ruby over Otello and Seize the Grey, maybe West Saratoga.
Unsure in LA- want to use Hall of Fame again but still don’t think he is ready for this. Like the looks of Antiquarian but this is also a lot and early, thing is they appear the speed which has done so well since this race went to 1 3/16. Agate Road might be the one I want coming out for the Derby as that was a big move first time dirt last out. A pairing might win this but unsure he can get the pace setup. Might wind up on Catching Freedom hoping for a better trip.

Ha! I promise not to leave you hanging! I just wanted to see a few more races and luckily ended up going the right way. Happy to hit the ball straight for the team off the first tee. Things might get in the weeds later….

Endlessly news.
While his performance thrust him squarely into the Derby mix with the 100 points earned for the win, trainer Michael McCarthy confirmed that the colt would likely run on Derby Day, but not in the Run For The Roses, but in the $600,000 GII American Turf instead.

Change of plans? By Bill Finley After declaring that Endlessly (Oscar Performance) would bypass the GI Kentucky Derby in favor of the GII American Turf, also run at Churchill Downs, the connections have reconsidered their options and are now “leaning” toward running in the Derby. www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/endlessly-back-on-derby-trail/
