I've always admired FDR.(would be my #1) The New Deal provided a way for the country to exit the great depression. Looking around in small towns(and large cities) you still can see the parks,bridges,roads etc that were built by the WPA and the CCC. (Add on the creation of Social Security,the FDIC and his handling of the global conflict pretty amazing how one man had such a positive affect on the country.)
Also admire Dwight Eisenhower for creating the Interstate Highway System. Opened up America to the open roads.
Some great men, who contributed so much.(could go on....and on...we've been fortunate to have had some great leaders)
