Think its safe to assume that I am the biggest Lions fan on this board, but I just don't see how our defense is going to stop the 49ers offense (especially now that Debo is apparently good to go). Shaky vote for Chiefs getting more than a FG, and I can't bet against the Lions, but not betting for them either.

Ok Spanky: After blowing the last race yesterday, I am going to bet football today …
KC +4.5 @ Baltimore KC +170 money line Taking the Chiefs + points and half as much KC money line….. Ravens have been steadily improving, Andrews is back, D is healthy and Dalvin Cook is now in the backfield. I have never been a fan of their qb, and hope that KC can somewhat contain him and force him to throw. Love Beckham, Flowers and Andrews/Lively as receivers but never trusted Jackson’s accuracy and decision making. KC has played well seasoned and even better in the playoffs. Mahomes is smart, and only needs to stay calm and have his WRs hold on to the ball. D has to contain the qb and not let the WRs break big plays. Love both coaches, though KC has the big game winning experience.
Also love the +4.5 number—-a safe break point in a close game. 45 total seems low imo. Not sure if weather.
Detroit +7.5 @ SF Detroit +280 money line Taking Lions + points and half as much on the money line. 9ers should be healthy, however Deebo and McC have lingering issues that could aggravate easily. Purdy has been very shaky lately as well as the D. Lions have a lot of weapons. Dual rb threat of Montgomery and Gibbs can be serious. WRs St Brown, Williams, Reynolds and Laporta can make big plays. Goff didn’t look good last week and is my main concern. D can go either way, and today must stop McC and rattle Purdy. I also love getting the hook again, this time +7.5
So——all I need is at least one cover and hopefully at least one dog win. I am playing it this way because I think that both dogs are capable of winning outright or at least covering favorable spreads. Granted, both home favorites are talented enough and capable of winning and covering…….

Tough loss for the Lions shoes. Any second guessing some of Campbell's decisions up there?

Thought for a long while that I would sweep yesterday. Called the first game exactly as it went….. felt good! Same for the late game through the first half. 9ers dominated 3rd q and lions comeback fell short. Would have liked the 2nd money line win, however I’ll take what I got.
Going to jump on SF -1 if I can still get it.
Spanky—hoping you got it right!
Also—don’t think that I can lose superbru! A repeat here and in the Cleveland Browns group also(110+ browns fans—so much for their handicapping loll

Tough loss for the Lions shoes. Any second guessing some of Campbell's decisions up there? Thanks hoop, it was a tough one. There is of course second guessing but I'm not going to do it. That is the way he has played it all season and it worked to the Lions benefit several times over the course of the season. As Greg the analyst pointed out, because the Lions do it, it frees them up a bit (while simultaneously putting pressure on the defense) knowing that there is an extra down to work with. It's also not as simple as adding in the points foregone by not attempting FGs, since the FGs aren't automatic (as we saw when SF missed one) and if SF is only up 7 instead of 10 for the Lions last TD drive, SF likely plays their defense differently. In any case it was a great ride and brought me much joy over the course of the season (as did Michigan's 15-0 National Championship run). I am very grateful.
