TW, does Ryan Moore ride this time of year? See some Euro jocks with mounts. Will be watching. His first 2024 rides in the UK were at Lingfield last Saturday. He's actually going to be at Gulfstream Park on Saturday with three mounts, in the McKnight, The Pegasus F/M Turf, and the Pegasus Turf (Warm Heart for Aidan O'Brien.) TW

MEY R2 (9:05am ET)- 1m Firebreak Stakes (Group 3) (Dirt) (3yo+)www.racingpost.com/racecards/1231/meydan/2024-01-26/859660Not a lot of current form on display, best to PASS this one. Some combination of 9,10,11 might hit the frame. MEY R3 (9:40am ET)- 7f Al Fahidi Fort (Group 2) (Turf) (3yo+)www.racingpost.com/racecards/1231/meydan/2024-01-26/859661#7- Mysterious Night (3-2) won the Summer Stakes (GI) at Woodbine to culminate a fine 2yo campaign, but had a forgettable stop-start 3yo season. Two good efforts here this winter, including a dominant career-best win in a 7F handicap just last week, giving away weight to all his rivals. Repeat of that race wins this. #10- Shining Blue (16-1) runs well fresh, ran three good races here last season, may well be sent to the front from a wide draw in PP10 (two scratches) by Cristian Demuro. Can't shake the feeling that he'll run big today, despite the bin Suroor barn's ice-cold status. WIN- 10 EX- 7,10/1,2,6,7,10,12 www.egypttoursplus.com/al-fahidi-fort-and-dubai-museumMEY R4 (10:15am ET)- 6f Al Shindagha Sprint (Group 3) (Dirt) (3yo+)www.racingpost.com/racecards/1231/meydan/2024-01-26/859662#2- Colour Up (5-1) low-mileage 6yo likes the course and distance, is usually there or thereabouts. Speaking of lightly-raced 6yos, #4- Laurel River (even) won the Pat O'Brien S. (GII) at Del Mar for Juddmonte/Baffert when last seen in August. If he still retains all his ability he could crush these, providing he takes to the track. EX- 2,4/2,4,5,7,8 MEY R5 (10:50am ET)- 5f Blue Point Sprint (Group 2) (Turf) (3yo+)www.racingpost.com/racecards/1231/meydan/2024-01-26/859663#13- Star Of Mystery (3-1) lightly-raced 3yo filly won here last out going 6F against fellow 3yos, now tries older turning back to 5F in Group company. Curious that William Buick is riding Equality in this race for Charlie Hills, wondering how Godolphin would let him ride another horse when they have one in the race. Drew PP11 which may not be ideal the way they have run straight sprints this season. #10- Seven Questions (10-1) was beautifully progressive last year for George Scott, placing in three Group races to end the season. Third behind Star Of Mystery last time, hard to see him turning the tables on that one, especially from out on the wing in PP13. #1- Clarendon House (5-1) is a top-class handicapper, 5F specialist from renowned sprint trainer Robert Cowell. Sharp as a tack after two AW wins in Nov./Dec. Could smoke these if he takes to the course. Not sure if #6- Ponntos (8-1) can put together back-to-back big efforts, but this isn't the strongest GII field ever assembled, and he drew well in PP3. Will be winging it on the sharp end. EX- 1,6/1,5,6,7,10,13 MEY R6 (11:25am ET)- 1m1½f (1m1f110y) Al Maktoum Challenge (Group 1) (Dirt) (3yo+)www.racingpost.com/racecards/1231/meydan/2024-01-26/859664Maybe #11- Kabirkhan (9-5) can repeat his handicap tour-de-force from two weeks ago for Doug Watson and Russian owner Tlek Mukanbetkaliyev (you would never lose in Scrabble with those tiles .) Watching this one, no wagers. MEY R7 (12:00Noon ET)- 1m1f Jebel Hatta (Group 1) (Turf) (3yo+)www.racingpost.com/racecards/1231/meydan/2024-01-26/859665First Group I on turf draws BC Mile runner-up ( ) #9- Mawj (2-1) which gets 5-6lbs from these, only worry from PP5 is the stable form, which is very quiet. #6- Spirit Dancer (10-1) could be flying under the radar for Richard Fahey. 7yo Frankel gelding had his best season in 2023, capping it off with GII win in Bahrain over Israr and Point Lonsdale. Needs to handle the course, but price compensates. #7- Measured Time (3-2) is the obvious favorite of GII Al Rashidiya win here last month, Godolphin/Appleby/Buick back to hiting on all cylinders. WIN- 6 EX- 6,7/2,5,6,7,9 MEY R8 (12:35pm ET)- 1m UAE 2000 Guineas (Group 3) (Dirt) (3yo)www.racingpost.com/racecards/1231/meydan/2024-01-26/859666Taking a flyer with #8- Turjman (7-1) for Michael Costa/Tom Marquand. Mitole colt has won two sprints in a row at Jebel Ali in the easiest of fashion, may not stay the mile but this dirt course can produce fluky front-running winners at times. WIN- 8 MEY R9 (1:10pm ET)- 1m6f (1m6f11y) Al Khail Trophy (Listed Race) (Turf) (4yo+)www.racingpost.com/racecards/1231/meydan/2024-01-26/859667Draw a line through the last race for #1- Siskany (4-5), that was on dirt in the BC 'Marathon' event at Santa Anita and he wanted no part of that, he and Serifos faded out the back of the field looking for an In 'n' Out Burger beaten more than fifty lengths. Two wins and a second in three local starts, won this in 2022 and won the Nad Al Sheba (GIII) over C&D last season. Point him towards the finish line. Does carry a 6lb penalty from PP9. TRI- 1/2,4,10/ALL TW

I've been following him in Dubai for a few years, and now that he's in California. He rides for everybody, because he has a solid dirt background in the UAE, and also good turf experience from Europe and Dubai. 20% rider at SA so far in 2024. His idol is Frankie Dettori, a fellow Sardinian, and he also knew Umberto Rispoli previously, so he has friends in the jocks room too. He's only 32, so he has a solid upside. TW
