BHR 12:05- 1m2f Bahrain International Trophy (Group 2) (3yo+) (Outer Track) (Turf)www.racingpost.com/racecards/869/bahrain/2023-11-17/854879#5- Israr (8-1) drew wide in PP13, but so did most of the major players entered here. Consistent sort has only run five times this season, all in longer races than today, so he'll need some pace help on the turnback, perhaps from Highland Avenue and others. Won a GII at Newmarket in July beating Adayar, then shaped nicely in GIII at Ascot most recently, finishing second to Al Qareem after taking the lead in mid-stretch. Have to think that was by design, getting him into gear quicker than usual with this $1M test in mind. #7- Nation's Pride (8-5) is the Captain Obvious™ selection, multiple GI-winner loves the distance (7/6-1-0) and handles travel with aplomb, having won stakes in five different countries. William Buick will have to work out a trip from PP15, but the gelding has some tactical speed so may go forward early. EX- 5/3,4,7,8,11 TRI- 7/3,5,8/3,4,5,8,11,14 TW

Spirit Dancer upsets them all at 29-1!! Storms home on the outside under Oisin Orr, no doubt about the winner. Triple, with Israr (13-1) in second and Point Lonsdale (29-1) in third, should be huge, if there was a sizeable pool. Otherwise, it was a carryover.
