Stable selection opens on Friday, 17 Nov 2023.
The competition includes all races that are part of the Dubai Racing Carnival at Meydan Racecourse between the dates of Thursday, 23 November 2023 and Saturday, 30 March 2024. (Only races within the Dubai Racing Carnival at Meydan Racecourse will be counted).

With a greater number of eligible racing days than in previous seasons, it appears that a greater emphasis will need to be placed on when the use of a stable swap makes the most sense. I've always managed to miscalculate this aspect in the past, afraid to drop in the standings by missing a week.

I've always managed to miscalculate this aspect in the past, afraid to drop in the standings by missing a week. I've failed in the opposite way, saving swaps thinking better opportunities will come and have missed some big weeks , putting me out of contention. |

As far as I can tell, you are only able to make bonus race picks after you have selected an original stable. Interesting conundrum if you don't want to use up a stable switch on a card that doesn't have large point getting opportunities.

Friday January 5th- Bonus race for Friday is the 7f Jumeirah Guineas Trial (Conditions) (Turf) (3yo), with three Godolphin entries. www.racingpost.com/racecards/1231/meydan/2024-01-05/858470Godolphin have nine runners on the day, but I'm not sure that more than 4-5 can hit the board. I already have Real World in my stable, he's in the GII Zabeel Mile. The others are in allowances/condition stakes so I'm not going to use a stable swap to chase those points, not with five better race cards in the future, plus the World Cup card. I understand your dilemma Diablo. After going back and forth, I decided to use a swap. While a number of the Feb 2 races won't be worth very many points (only 1 Group 3 and 1 Listed Stakes), it looks as if the Godolphin runners have a chance to be very well placed in each of the 5 races in which they have entries. It was close to a 50/50 decision, but I finally concluded that a swap could garner enough points to be worthwhile. I'll probably pay for that decision later in the contest, since I only have 2 swaps left.

I'm absolutely baffled. This morning I received an e-mail telling me that one or more of my stable horses has been withdrawn from the competition and needs to be replaced. When I visited the contest site to see who I had lost, it indicated that every one of my 10 horses has been withdrawn. Is this a computer glitch or has something serious happened to the Godolphin horses?
I notice that there are Godolphin horses running in Friday's races, including 4 in the 17:00 Vaziribad Handicap (Military March, Global Heat, Ruling Dynasty and Al Nafir); I had assumed that this would be Friday's bonus race even though I had planned not to use a stable swap at this time.
