I stole TWs topic heading, just wanted it to "match up" with the one he started yesterday.
Wanted to add some comments only based on my gut hunches. M/L odds are plonked due to so many scratches and since made before the post position draw. "Most Vulnerable" (i.e. underlays) for me are Inspiral and Mostadaph, seems like afterthoughts since missing the Championship Series races due to bad ground and BC seemed like Plan B.
King of Steel, who just ran a most diiffciult race in last, but they put him on a plane to travel, go thru quarantine, etc. I can't support horse in the win spot and would never have him on my ticket for he Win after watching him gut it out. Ushba Tesoro has an American gate phobia so my doubt and but mostly his projected very low odds will keep me away from a win there, too.
I also remembered when both Beyer and Timeform had Derma Sotograke as their win pick. Now he comes back off layoff and nobody wants him. Hoping Baffert and Cox horses get into a speed dual and open it up for others. Dreamlike was always "coming". That is what made me wager Country House in the KY Derby the year I made money. I'm all about going for the big odds in the big races.
Big bomber longshot: Besides Shahryar, I like another JPN horse in R10: Jasper Krone. Mori Hideyuki, trainer. Most know this, but I will trot it ot anyway: In Japan, he is known as a “Sensei,” a title of respect for his considerable achievements. He is the original mold-breaker 3 decades ago for putting Japanese horses to win big G1s in different nations. He spends some serious money at the sales here, and likes to buy siblings of KY Derby winners. He always looks so joyous and happy. While he does very well at other venues the world over, not so much in the BC. He brought Jasper Prince, Jasper Great, Matera Sky, Pingxiang to past BC races. He brought France Go De Ina to the Preakness. Gotta respect his tenacity to bring horses here to race.
Jasper Krone GETS THE SAME JOCKEY AS USHBA TESORO so that was also a plus
