No reason given yet, but rumors started last night. AOB gave an interview yesterday raving about the horse and his chances, but I’ve gotten so jaded on connection speak leading up to big events, I pay no attention. Unsure if vet or connection choice.

Hard to handicap when horses keep scratching. Wouldn't shock me in the morning we wake up to another couple gone.

The last time the Breeders Cup was in Cali this happen, so many scratches, vet scratches, where you hear trainers say that nothing was wrong with their horse. Don't remember this happening last year at Keeneland. Why is this?

The sport is under so much scrutiny and with the deaths of Geaux Rocket Ride and Practical Move this week they will be terrified that something else happens during one of the races.

From Horse Racing Twitter
Have heard from a couple of people now that there are some fireworks going on between Aiden O'Brien and the veterinarians at Santa Anita/Breeders Cup regarding the scratch of a couple of his horses. #BreedersCup #BC23

I know horses can get hurt at any time, but I am sure the high profile connections of Obrian, Tabor etc... Look their horses over from head to toe before they ship. All you hear every year is how Great Obrian horses look. So now you tell me that Obrian horses are being scratched not by the trainer himself, but by others. It's a joke and would not be shocked if connections stop supporting the breeders cup due to this type of thing. I guess we will see. Only in Cali though

Don’t think that some euro owners/trainers are very happy right now Lawyers can’t do much today after being scratched…… More drama for tomorrow probably
Wish I could post my videos from last night Ballet dancers in the courtyard dancing to the ramones and blondie Pretty much disco night out back lol….. ——-////— evidently many more scratches to come? Drama is developing……

Pretty Mischievous a scratch from the Distaff to be freshened for a 4YO campaign
Bolshoi Ballet a vet scratch from the Turf.
Hearing River Tiber and Givenethebeatboys also vet scratches with very sensitive vet team scrutinizing like crazy.

Update on A Mo Reay from DRF:
A Mo Reay will scratch from the BC Distaff due to a bruised foot, per trainer Brad Cox. The mare goes into quarantine Sunday night, headed for Japan to be a broodmare.

Vet scratches are becoming controversial……. In order to have an opinion, I would need to know more about how, and the exact surface, and how it is set up, the surface that they are making the horses stand/walk around on during the vet checks. As a matter of fact, I'd like to see photos of it, or a video, to determine if it is a set up befitting a World Class racing meet.
