No discussion on final leg? Elite Power a must use obviously but I have to include Gunite who should sit and pounce, Dr Schivel, and either The Chisen Vron or Hoist The Gold

I like Gunite, Elite Power, Speed Boat Beach The Chosen Vron and Hoist the Gold.
I'm okay with a Pick 5.

I would use The Chosen Vron of those two. What do you make of Speed Boat Beach ? I am personally not using Speed Boat Beach at this short of a price given his limited history, against this field. That said, it is Baffert who has won with this type before, he did have a tightner off the long layoff and should move forward. Still, at 3-1, not for me. |

I would have to use speed boat beach in the win slot. If he guns he can clear, and has a chance to improve 2nd off layoff. Don't want to overthink this race and he might just be the fastest horse.
Like his chances more the GUnite, who is fast and talented but those trips to the desert can catch up to a horse and he's had a long 2023 already.
