Thursday
• 9.30am – Norfolk Stakes (Group 2) 5f 2yo
Hala Emaraaty is out.
All in on #4- Elite Status (3-2), his National Stakes win at Sandown got a huge number that none of the rest of these have approached. Hoping to land a triple wager, as even exactas won't pay much with him on top.
TRI- 4/1,8,13/1,6,8,9,10,13,14
• 10.05am – King George V Stakes (Handicap) 1m 4f 3yo
Gallerist is out.
#1- Bertinelli (6-1) has a wide draw in PP16, but has done little wrong in four starts, is proven at the distance. #6- Perfuse (7-1) has been progressive through three races, makes handicap debut today and he may be in light for Juddmonte/Stoute.
EX- 1,6/1,6,8,10
• 10.40am – Ribblesdale Stakes (Group 2) 1m 4f 3yo fillies
Infinite Cosmos and Luckin Brew are out.
#1- Al Asifah (4-5) is the steam horse but still must negotiate two additional furlongs today. Presence of sixteen opponents suggests this may be more of a horse race than a procession.#7- Infinite Cosmos (5-1) was a good third to Soul Sister in the Musidora S. (GIII), daughter of Sea The Stars could offer more today stepping up in trip.
EX- 1,19/1,2,4,10,12,19
• 11.20am – Gold Cup (Group 1) 2m 4f 4up
Tashkhan is out. Trueshan still in as of midday.
#3- Coltrane (5-2) really likes it here, his Sagaro S. (GIII) win last month stamps him as the one to beat. After the first two days' results I'll take a flyer on the Willie Mullins jumper #13- Echoes in Rain (7-1). She won a GI hurdle over good ground in April, showed fine flat form last fall.
EX- 3,13/3,6,9,13
• 12.00pm – Britannia Stakes (Heritage Handicap) 1m (straight) 3yo
Theoryofeverything is out.
Real headscratcher, so not going to risk much in this. Will be using #15- Betterdaysrcoming (15-1) as a saver, is very consistent over good ground, can at least hit the frame.
W/P- 15 EXBOX- 6,16,19
• 12.35pm – Hampton Court Stakes (Group 3) 1m 2f 3yo
Quite a big group at the top of the market. #9- Epictetus (5-1) and #14- Torito (6-1) are a potent one-two punch for George Strawbridge/Gosdens.
EX- 9,14,16/2,3,9,14,15,16
• 1.10pm – Buckingham Palace Stakes (Handicap) 7f 3up
Another headscratcher, but 7F specialists usually mark their territory well. #14- Biggles (10-1) is consistent, Ralph Beckett is sending out runners, Ryan Moore takes the call. Bye-bye 10-1 m/l. #21- Northern Express (15-1) turns back from a string of mile races, but is effective going seven, look for his green/red silks towards the finish.
EX- 14,21/4,5,6,14,21,23,27
