Is there any update on when Bo Cruz might run again. If you have mentioned it I didn’t see it and I apologize.

He posted this on Friday.
We were planning to run Bo Cruz next Sunday…..now race goes at Ellis and not sure they can run 1 1/16 there? I don’t want to go there anyway

Thanx 4 the interest, sounds…… Plan is to go SUNDAY 1 1/8 @ Ellis Race seems to get more competitive every day and this is only Monday. we lose Rosario to Asmussen’s Disarm and pick up Lanerie. He is a good dirt rider and should know Ellis as well as anyone. I think that we have a good one, and if he can run back to his last two starts, he will be a handful. He somewhat reminds me appearance wise to his dam sire GHOSTZAPPER. Hopefully the second coming? Not a bad pedigree

We are #3 of 7——4 derby runners entered, including Verifying, Disarm and Raise Cain( underrated imo). Possible showers to complicate things and deter me from the 4 1/2 hour drive.
Will know more this evening

Good luck. Graded stakes don't come around that often as an owner, fill up the tank and listen to some music. I get it if it will be a solo drive.

Supposedly to hit there mid afternoon and move this way in the evening. Makes the 4+ hour solo drive seem shaky and not really wanting to spend the night there.
Makes for a tough choice but probably staying out and hoping for the best.
Lanerie worked the colt last Saturday, and it went very well. If you can watch that work, maybe do so—particularly the runout. Made me feel better about today.

Good luck Spider. I like to give KD runners a race or 2. Leaves Bo in a sweet spot.

Graded stakes placing is pretty darn good for this early into his career.

I guess---still disappointed. Set the pace in the mud, tired after a mile and beaten by the two who most thought would contend. Would have preferred 1 1/16 @ CD but didn't happen. So we set our sights a little lower for now. Not many nw2ot good purse races in the midwest.
Thanx 4 the well wishes and attention!

Seeing how he ran, the Ellis Park Derby in 8 weeks at a mile looks like a nice spot. $250 K...1 mile race
Ran very credible yesterday, no hanging the head getting beat by Asmussen's best 3yr old and nice Cox runner.

Nothing to hang your head over when running 3rd in a G3! Congrats and here’s hoping all stays well and you have a ton of fun with him.

Looks like you got a real racehorse here, Has never run out of the money at 3 different tracks. This time in his very first graded stakes to boot, after only 3 races.
What particularly impressed me was not just the 3 different tracks, but the fact that he can run on both dry/fast and sloppy/sealed. This is a lot of versatility for a youngster. I love the pedigree too.
I expect good things going forward

thanx for the #s hooper, and again for the encouragement elsewhere...
The race went exactly as I hoped it wouldn't. Despite the last 2 wtw wins vs lesser, I go back to the first start where Bo had to settle and go outside----he then had no problem passing horses. He has become too competitive for his own good, and got used to having his way with other runners. Doesn't always work when you step up in class. eye's next race makes sense--I can't figure where else......we shall see

Being the pedigree nut that I am, I noticed he's female family 8g (traces back to the same family taproot mare that Arcangelo has {family 8}.
I asked a few of my fellow ped head to take a look, for what it's worth. "A front runner who may need another race at 8.5F before he stretches out again, for foundation. Has 2 Secretariat mares {dam of Storm Cat and APIndy} and 3 lines of Relaunch. Bred to be good at 4..... 20 crosses of Nearco 5 of his sons including his big 3."
I would say, based on that, don't rush him. If you believe in that stuff.
