Go back and watch Perform’s last race. It’s pretty amazing. Horse was stuck in all kinds of trouble down the stretch and looked hopelessly beaten. Found a seam late and EXPLODED through horses (like he was shot out of a cannon) to get up. I haven’t seen a burst of speed like that in a long time. The Beyer was light at 85 but sometimes your eyes tell you something was better than the fig. Combined with this, the fact that Shug suggested they pay $150,000 to supplement him and his blue blood breeding; Good Magic on top and the blue hen mare Leslie’s Lady (dam of Into Mischief and Beholder) on bottom (third dam), make this a strong play for me. Looks like the wise guy horse as he’s already 7-1 but I’ll take what I can get.
Good Luck Steve
