Just noticed that with Forte's scratch, Dale Romans replaced Joel Rosario with Irad Ortiz on Cyclone Mischief. OUch. Sure Irad is considered the top of the class but that has to hurt.

Ahh good point. i had just taken the TVG change note at face value. The past perfs had listed Rosario as the jock for CM which were done prior to CM getting into the race. SLAP removed!

Rosario was named on both mounts. When Cyclone drew in, Corey Lanerie was named to Cyclone, so the slap in the face was to Corey.

I hope it was something other than just a Dale Romans decision. I thought Romans & Lanerie were pals. Really rough day for Lanerie yesterday with him pulling up two mounts and both being euthanized (Chloe's Dream & Freezing Point).

insulting moves by Irad and Romans imo, especially on a colt that didnt belong.
Good luck to Romans finding riiders going forward---unless something was up with Lanerie

Talk about a traumatic experience. He's a good jockey IMHO |
