Disarm - he’s a bit behind the others but I’m hoping he can up his game a bit. His Louisiana Derby was excellent. He wasn’t catching Kingsbarns after pedestrian fractions of 49.3 and 1:14.3 on a speed favoring track. The only reason he ran in the Lexington was he needed the points to qualify, so obviously they wanted him to run. He did just what he needed, running third. He’s looked great this week and threw down the top Derby work of the week. Gets back Rosario and I love the Gun Runners.
Forte- nothing needs to be said. A very worthy Derby favorite. Has it all. The class, the figs, the trainer and the jockey. Most definitely the horse to beat.
Verifying - lots of things to like here too. The breeding, trainer, and jockey are all top notch. Been looking good this week and working well. Might get the jump on this field and forget to stop.
I’ll be using some others in the lower slots but these three are my keys.
