You have to be a rocket scientist to understand the impact of Forte's scratch on the daily double payout!

"Daily Double
If the Scratch is in the first leg there is a refund for all combinations involving the scratched runner. If the scratch is in the second leg, after the start of the first leg, there is no refund, but if the winner was selected in the first leg there will be a consolation payout for the scratch in the second leg. If the scratch is in the second leg prior to the start of the first leg the combination with the scratched runner will be refunded. If the winner was not played in the first leg, it is a losing ticket with no refund."

i am alive to 2,3,5,18 and believe i get some consolation payout for Forte who i also had.

136 (1) An association shall calculate a consolation double by dividing the net pool by the value of the daily double bets made on the winning horse in the first race of the daily double.



(2) If, after betting has been closed for the first race of a daily double, a horse, entry or mutuel field in the second race of the daily double is scratched, the association shall calculate the pay-out price of the daily double pool by



(a) multiplying the quotient obtained in subsection (1) by the value of the bets made that combine the winning horse in the first race with the horse, entry or mutuel field that was scratched from the second race;



(b) deducting the product obtained pursuant to paragraph (a) from the net pool; and



(c) dividing the second net pool obtained pursuant to paragraph (b) by the value of the bets made on the winning combination.


I read this as: (All the daily double money on Pretty Mischievous) divided by (Total Daily double pool less takeout) multiplied by (live dollars that had Forte winning the second leg) equals the consolation payout.

it says resolved but it doesn't balance

they are a LOT quicker to take out than they r to pay
