The Derby, 2002, War Emblem, an E8 runner breaks fast, takes the lead and No one goes after him. He all but galloping around the track, turns it on around the far turn and wins easily, paying 20/1. Could this happen Saturday? There are no other E horses in the race except for Verifying and maybe  Derma, who could very well be an E8, could be the real thing.

Funny, I was just thinking about War Emblem. The year before Song and a prayer ran suicidal fractions and that played a big part in the other jocks backing off War emblem imo. Same thing happened last year with Crown pride.Do they back off Derma or Kingsbarns ?
