Me, on the other hand, KY Derby is one time of year I don't go for "being right".....I look for VALUE. Gotta cash a ticket that pays well.
Angel of Empire looks too much like the horse Thousand Words to me. That super high sire dosage index, even higher though (never seen an index that high) with the mare side DI also high. I guess he could hit the board. I think like Thousand Words he should run in the Preakness. I could be totally wrong but the breeding in PA doesn't help much either, esp. considering he was a $32K weanling RNA. Of course, horses do rise above their station, like Confidence Game and other blue collars, so I won't bash him just on that part.
