It would be great to see D. Wayne Lukas in the Kentucky Derby again,
but Major Blue @ 30-1 is a big william hill to climb.
Kenny McPeek has three in the race... 10-1, 15-1 and 20-1.
I'm taking the middle McPeek. Jimmy Graham @ a price.

I'm taking the middle McPeek. Jimmy Graham @ a price. He sure did a nice job on Confidence Game. Speaking of whom, I really REALLY like this horse's profile for the Derby. Candy Ride and Eblouissante w/ a dash of Roberto and Kris S. He's not fasst, and I think KY Derby requires more speed than he has unless he runs like he did in his allowance race at Churchill. Nevertheless, will put him aside in my Belmont Stakes drawer, he is loaded with stamina. |

For this race I will do an exotic box with Classic Car Wash, Tapit Trice, Verifying, and Mendolssohns March.

I’ll give Verifying another shot here. Tapit Trice could and should win, Classic Car Wash also runs well.

I thought the Bluegrass was kinda boring bumper car race, I get tired of watching those.
Tapit Trice is a Belmont horse (IMHO)....... he should have been further back today and this may mess him up for the Belmont.
Guess we'll see. He ran his guts out.

I said I wanted a Belmont future on Tapit Trice after the TB Derby. Nothing changes my mind today but if he ever gets it figured out between the ears, every other horse better watch out.

That was a good insight. I'd like to see him in the BEL for sure. And Mandarin Hero.....he runs on a sand track. Pretty sure it's actually a bit deeper than over at BELMONT, actually. Hope he sticks around. The Japanese scuttlebutt is that they are also thinking BC Classic, since they know he likes the track. Those purple silk look so good against that dark body. |
