Mandella making a bold move here, rare for him isn't it?

Mr. Mandella must have a good feeling about this one. Candy Ride is my KD Sire future, so Geaux Rocket Ride! I have an affection for Practical Move. Vazquez is tough.
Practical Move is genuine Yakteen... not a Baffert refugee. Equibase has Practical Move first and Geaux Rocket Ride last.
PS.
Ibetponies & Badactor will be @ Santa Anita Park on Saturday!

Mandella making a bold move here, rare for him isn't it? Yes, Mr. Mandella seems more like a BC trainer type then TC races which tend to have more hype?......when he was here with Omaha Beach he tended to eshew attention and seems like a quiet private type man. I think he gets it right though.....it's not about the human personalities, it's about the horses, who are the stars.

Should be some pace to run into so I’ll go with Skinner who was thought enough of as 2YO to run in some big spots and came back with a nice windebuting at 3. However, this isn’t your typical Papa Mandella move with Geaux Rocket Ride…. Has my attention but key will be rating as think Hejazi only has one way to run as well.

What are the stats on the kinds of horses who win or do well in the Bob Hope and San Vincente, and their preformance in SA Derby?
One that Mandella had last year, Forbidden Kingdom, I never climbed aboard, seemed like a 7F-1M type to my eye.
I don't play the CA tracks and really haven't done my due dilligence on the trajectories of horses there when they step on to the TC Trail.
I do know my contest pick, Mr. Fisk, is not right for this race, but he's a Country House type, they "run out of track" in these 9F KY Derby prep races so nobody ever notices them. Every race I ever saw Country House in he was coming down the stretch but needed more distance. Anyway, those are my thoughts about Mr. Fisk, for future reference.

Congrats to Dell! Just reminded me, since I got a stable notification, I've had this one in my virtual stable to keep an eye on since 2021 when he ran in the Iroquois. Couldn't seem to break maiden....now running in a $25K allowance claimer on March 10 coming up at Turfway. From the $300K Iroquois to a $25 claimer is kind of a sad trajectory. Would love to see him win his next race though: www.pedigreequery.com/bourbon+heistwww.equibase.com/profiles/Results.cfm?type=Horse&refno=10622057®istry=T&rbt=TBSince 1990, I haven't stayed current but last time I did look, there was approx. 20-ish Northern Dancer descendants finish in the top four of the Kentucky Derby. Of those approximate 20, about 7 finished ITM in the Derby were descendants of Storm Cat. Baffert had Authentic who won the KY Derby w/an Into Mischief. Along the way we've had Goldenscents, Mandaloun (won the Derby via a DQ and the Haskell via a DQ, must be the luckiest horse in the world), Life is Good (won the Pegasus @1-1/8), Gamine, Wonder Wheel, Covfefe, Practical Joke, Audible, Vyjack, Vickers in Trouble, et al. This year we have: Rocket Can, General Jim, Sun Thunder, Practical Move and Cyclone Mischief (so far). Those Into Mischiefs are tricky for the Ky Derby ----I have trouble warming up to those Storm Cat sire lines.
