Arabian Knight no works since 2/13. ??
According to a report in the Los Angeles Times, four more possible GI Kentucky Derby starters made the move Sunday from the Bob Baffert barn to the stable of Tim Yakteen. The four are possible Derby favorite Arabian Knight (Uncle Mo), National Treasure (Quality Road), Fort Bragg (Tapit) and Mr. Fisk (Arrogate).

Arabian Knight no works since 2/13. ?? Yes I saw your post about that on 2/23 the other day. No works since 2/13 AND hasn't raced since 1/28/23 so the combination of things isn't good for a horse on the trail Anyway...... so KIND of all these trainers to help out Mr. Baffert and his owners..... by agreeing to be paper trainers for them. /s

HRN today.
Conspicuous by his absence from the entry box and recent work tabs was Arabian Knight, who has alternated with Eclipse Award victor Forte all winter as the Derby futures favorite in Las Vegas. The 2-for-2 winner of the Southwest (G3) on Jan. 28 at Oaklawn also went to Yakteen, who did not confirm a Los Angeles Times report that Arabian Knight likely would race next in the Arkansas Derby (G1) or Santa Anita Derby (G1).

Owners did not transfer Cave Rock, Faustin or of course, Speed Boat Beach, so they are no longer on the trail.
Personally I'm putting a fork in Arabian Knight.......16 days to recuprate from the Southwest Stakes and post a work, and now still no recorded works since 2/13? Today is 3/01. You can't train a derby horse like this.
(unless you're baffert or bafteen I guess.)

I assume his routine with the Baffert horses would be to change as little as possible.

a practical move... but it's a distraction we don't need. a lot of pressure on Mr. Yakteen... a lot of pressure.

Just one big horse and pony show (Here he couldn't say I need to talk to Bob first ) (couldn't just walk them over ? ) Stall space near the Yakteen stable became available when Graham Motion runners shipped out. Stewards said Yakteen indicated on Sunday the horses would move in the next two days, by Monday. “[Yakteen] said he would get back to us,” Sawyer said. Yakteen said late Sunday afternoon, “No decisions have been made. Let’s wait until we make a decision. I don’t want to talk about that right now.”

a practical move... but it's a distraction we don't need. a lot of pressure on Mr. Yakteen... a lot of pressure. Mr. Yakteen unequivocably accepted these pressures and burdens when he agreed to take on Bob's horses as a paper trainer. He has to assume all the obligations of what that decision implies and includes. Just hope the horses themselves adapt well to all these human machinations, and that they are not the ones who will experience any pressure.

Not surprising. 🚨 Statement from @zedanracing : #ArabianKnight is no longer under consideration for the KY Derby. Trainer Tim Yakteen wasn't happy with his last work & we feel it's in Arabian Knight's best interest not to rush & allow him more time to develop. We know he's a superior talent & our plan is to point him toward a summer and fall campaign. 11:31 PM · Mar 11, 2023 ·

I did not personally see a dated/time-stamped press release. (Before the other race McG said (publically) that General Jim was having a "small setback"......and he did, indeed, scratch. In trainer speak, they're always described as "minor"......let's face it not many horses are great like Big Brown who ran on 1/2 a hoof........setbacks are something I look at very seriously along the Trail....missed days and works, esp. now in March/April.......look carefully and worry a little, at least, that's what I do.

Agree 100 percent. Although I did get burned one time on this - the year that Invasor won the Classic. I can't remember what it was but he had some sort of physical issue going in.

Does anybody remember or know what date Harlocap arrived in the Assumesen barn before the Risen Star? Cuz that one seemed to be moved very quickly, and I don't remember a lot of press about it, then "suddenly" the horse whisked in to SA's barn and running in a ky derby prep race.
Maybe I just wasn't paying attention,
