As Baffert is still suspended by Churchill Downs through this year’s Derby on May 6, owners who have potential Derby horses with him must transfer them to other trainers by Feb. 28 in order to be eligible to earn qualifying points in those points-scoring races designated by Churchill Downs on the Road to the Derby. ~ DRF.

Baffert renewed his court quest to run in the 2023 Derby on Dec. 15, 2022, asking for an injunction that would “work no hardship” on CDI.
The two sides have been trading court filings over the past week in preparation for a Feb. 2 preliminary injunction hearing.

It's toddler behavior if you remember having a toddler. "mine! mine! mine!" Gilmore just scratched so Vicente is a 4 horse race. But I guess that's why they call (ed) it The Great Race Place. What a shame that legacy is out the window now. Respectable horse trainers are supposed to train horses. This one is playing sandbox games. |

no fault of either of ours but after your edit my comment appears before yours even tho my point still stands. as to your addition, thank belinda (TALK ABOUT SANDBOX GAMES); it is one reason why i'm glad i bet early and slept thru the first 12 races yesterday. RIP Hollywood
