A little AW action on the shortest day (daylight) of the year. Happy solstice. Noted that Dylan Davis is in town to ride while NYRA is shut down.
TP R4 (7:25pm ET)- MSW70000 6.5F AW 2yo F

#7- Mighty Madison (2-1) looks to be the most talented filly of those which have run. No idea if she'll take to the AW, but won't watch the pitch sail by. #8- Chasing After You (10-1) is a FTS for Mike Maker/Three Diamonds. Inexpensive daughter of Speightstown has a steady string of 5F works showing. Not sure why Edgar Morales would be named, he's been at FG and has mounts there tomorrow. Complete stab, but hoping price compensates.
EX- 7,8/1,5,7,8,11
TP R5 (7:55pm ET)- ALW72000N1X 8F AW 3up F&M

#2- Joyful Applause (8-5) also has Morales named. Filly progressed nicely through last three starts, finished second in GII Mrs. Revere at CD to Bubble Rock last time. Surface is only question. #10- Sake (5-1) ran okay on AW at WO last fall in a GIII, just missed in a tough KEE N1x on turf in October. Working well there for this outing.
EX- 2,10/2,3,6,8,10
TP R6 (8:25pm ET)- ALW72000N1X 6.5F AW 3up F&M

Morales yet again on #3- Laugh and Play (5-2) for Maker. Looks like the lone speed on paper, dueled and tired to third over C&D three weeks ago. Could be gone if unchallenged. #4- Two Sixtyone (6-1) is a HFTC (5/3-0-0), went two turns here last time, now runs right back on the turnback. Has some speed, but not sprinter speed. Mixed feelings.
EX- 3,4/3,4,5,11,12
TP R7 (8:55pm ET)- OCLM40000N2X 6.5F AW 3up

Best bet of the night looks like #4- Boise (8-1) for Maker/Ramos. Two time AW winner was running in stakes at GG, got claimed from Wong at KEE to spoil his winter plans for this guy. Steady works here at TP say "it's go time!" #6- Lincoln City (7-2) was sent to TP by the owners and installed in the Wong barn, despite this horse's stellar turf record in CA. In for the tag again today, so not sure what kind of performance to expect, but bred to run on AW first time.
WIN- 4 EX- 4,6/2,4,6,8,11,14
Good luck if you are playing!
