Might be too late to the party with this but over the last couple of days there have been two really nice betting opportunities at Ind. Watch for the same situation to unfold at other tracks. Tuesday Race 7 - John Ortiz runs Gar Hole, an Arky bred stakes winner last year in an allowance race. Horse hasn't run since OP last spring and you have to know that the restricted Arky bred races this winter are his main objective. Perfectly reasonable hors e named Stop Hammertime wins at 6-1 for a high percentage trainer while Gar Hole finishes a well beaten 4th at $0.90 on the dollar. Wednesday Race 7 - Ortiz runs Whelan Springs , another Arky bred restricted stakes winner coming back off a layoff, who opens at a low price before drifting up to 5/1. Race is an optional claimer for $40,000 open or NW of an open allowance race. The two 40 claimers who both have 6 wins lifetime run first and second for a $80.90 exactor while Whelan Springs is a bad last. The lesson here is to not forget that trainer's objectives matter. I don't know if we will see any more Oaklawn preppers show up in the next couple of weeks but it is worth keeping an eye open.
