FILLY AND MARE SPRINT
1) OBLIGATORY
2) ECHO ZULU
3) GOODNIGHT OLIVE
We're going with OBLIGATORY to upset. She's always been a top notch filly and since Mott has brought her back, she's been very sharp. Nails the speed. Can't knock ECHO ZULU. All she
does is win. The only negative is her Beyers are light as she's never topped 95, but she'll be right there. GOODNIGHT OLIVE has turned into a beast for Chad Brown. Her and CE CE the
horses to beat.
TURF SPRINT
1) GOLDEN PAL
2) CAZADERO
3) CASA CREED
I hate to put GOLDEN PAL on top as I always look to beat the chalk, but this guy is one of the best turf sprinters I've ever seen. He'll be very short, so he'll be on most tickets but I
will spread a bit in pick 3's in case he gets beat. If the speed duel kills him, two that can pick up the pieces are CAZADERO and CASA Creed. The former has blossomed since put on turf and
the latter is a proven Grade 1 turf miler who can pick up the pieces, shortening up.
DIRT MILE
1) CODY'S WISH
2) CYBERKNIFE
3) LAUREL RIVER
In a very contentious Dirt Mile, CODY'S WISH is the choice. Has really blossomed this year and anything Mott sends out is dangerous. CYBERKNIFE is a top 3 year old and they have performed
very well in this race winning 3 of the last 5. LAUREL CANYON ships in for Baffert after a sharp win in the Pat O'Brien.
FILLY AND MARE TURF
1) TUESDAY
2) NASHWA
3) ABOVE THE CURVE
Going all European here. TUESDAY has been competitive with these and gets a firmer footing which she'll relish. NASHWA and ABOVE THE CURVE also top class Euros. IN ITALIAN is the
best of the Americans and might be this good.
SPRINT
1) JACKIE'S WARRIOR
2) MANNY WAH
3) KIMARI
Again, I hate picking chalk, but this race came up very weak. JACKIES WARRIOR should have his way. MANNY WAH is light on class and Beyers but he's been very sharp in the morning and
his connections are very high on him. KIMARI is a top notch mare who passed on the Filly and Mare sprint for this. Surprising.
MILE
1) IVAR
2) MODERN GAMES
3) DOMESTIC SPENDING
I have a funny feeling IVAR has been aiming for this race. He ran 3rd in it last year and has been nicely handled by high percentage trainer Lobo. Did get beat by MODERN GAMES but he was
bumped and it was only his second race in a year. Was rallying nicely in his prep over the course and picks up Castellano. MODERN GAMES is absolutely the horse to beat. DOMESTIC SPENDING
is shortening up for Chad Brown but he did win his first two career races at 1 mile.
DISTAFF
1) BLUE STRIPE
2) MALATHAAT
3) NEST
In what shapes up as one of the best Distaff races in recent memory, we're going with a longshot. BLUE STRIPE was an Argentine champion when she shipped here last year. Her first race
in this country was last year's Distaff where she was shuffled early and didn't run a lick. Brought back carefully this year, her Beyers are a little light but she has looked the part on the track
and am expecting her to jump up at a price. MALATHAAT is one tough customer and shoule be hard to beat. Taking a stand against NEST. If she beats me at a short price, so be it.
SOCIETY has also been looking sharp in the AM. Wouldn' surprise me if she won.
TURF
1) WAR LIKE GODDESS
2) REBELS ROMANCE
3) NATIONAL PRIDE
WAR LIKE GODDESS passed on the Filly and Mare turf to tak on the boys. She's 5 for 5 at the distance and will be tough to beat. REBEL'S ROMANCE is from the hot Appleby barn and also is
undefeated at the trip. NATIONS PRIDE another top Euro from the Appleby barn.
CLASSIC
Let's just leave it at FLIGHTLINE!! Can be the best horse since Secretariat! If he loses it would be an upset of epic proportions.
Good Luck
