Looks like MISCHIEF MAGIC is ready to run a good one. Charlie Appleby has become the foremost European trainer the last few years. He's 11-6-1-0 with Breeders Cup starters and an amazing 25-13-5-2

in his last 25 North American starts! This colt reeled off three in a row before running 4th to top European 2 year old Blackbeard (who would have been the favorite if he was in here). He had a little

trouble and hopefully he gets a cleaner trip. TYLER'S TRIBE is a very interesting horse. An Iowa bred, he has the type of speed that can be dangerous. He's run Beyers in the 90's and with his speed, he

might not look back. He's never been on turf but he's sired by Sharp Azteca who is off to a phenominal start at stud, including multiple turf winners. LOVE REIGNS is undefeated in North America

and looks like the horse to beat. Oxymore, Persian Force and The Platinum Queen can all compete in here.

Going out on a limb and taking GRAND LOVE to upset. Steve Asmussen (who is loaded this Breeders Cup) is very high on her. She won her debut in a very promising fashion, earning a nice 84 Beyer

in the process. Was a little disappointing in the Pocahontas, but she's been working great and is sired by top young sire Gun Runner. Another chance at a square price. CHOP CHOP came flying and

almost caught WONDER WHEEL in the Alciabides. She's been looking good on the track and anything Brad Cox sends out is live. WONDER WHEEL and CHOCOLATE GELATO are the horses to beat.

I've been on PLEASANT PASSAGE since day 1 (I'm a huge Shug fan), and I'm not going off now. She's supposedly been looking very sharp on the track and threw in a bullet 4f work in 47.3.

CAIRO CONSORT is my longshot play. She's been looking sharp in her last few up in Canada and with a little luck in her last, she'd be on a 3 race winning streak. Working bullets for this and picks

up top jock Rosario. MEDITATE is a top Euro from O'Brien and is the horse to beat.

It might be crazy picking against CAVE ROCK who is one of the shortest prices on the card, but here we go. BLAZING SEVENS has been impressive from the start. Came back from a subpar effort in

the Hopeful to crush the Champagne. Been working sharply and although he won't be a big price, it beats taking 4/5 on CAVE ROCK. CAVE ROCK is definitely the horse to beat with those big

Beyers, but he's never raced outside of California and we look to beat him at a very short price. FORTE looks sharp for Pletcher.

3) ANDTHEWINNERIS



PACKS A WAHLOP has been unbeatable since moving to the turf. Smith maintains the mount and he should be a square price. SILVER KNOT is definitely the horse to beat. Another one from

the loaded Appleby stable, he will probably be the post time favorite. ANDTHEWINNERIS is out of top young turf sire Oscar Performance and can be in the picture.

Steve, in the Juvenile Turf Sprint you left out the winner .. Dramatized Has been kept back specially for this race and would have been the favorite if you toss out his last effort.

In the Juvenile Fillies I’m expecting Atomically to split Chocalte Gelato and Chop Chop

Agree with Meditate in the Fillies Turf and G Laurie might be the best of the domestic hopes

Cave Rock looks dominant in the Juvenile and will be looking for Verifying to hit the board at double digits

Charlie Appleby must be very confident in Silver Knott as Mysterious Knight would have been red hot favorite to take this had he entered.his stablemate.

Had a long insightful well thought out post but didn’t go through and was lost…. Quicker rundown here after 2nd time through


Juvy Turf: I’ve already tabbed Private Creed from off the pace with all the speed signed on. Others mentioned Persian Force and Dramatised and find no complaints with either aside from the fact that steering clear of Euros in this spot for the win but certainly using underneath. Love Reigns fits trainer profile and recency in this event for sure. Oxymore is the other I am interested in.

Juv Fillies: No price plays but give me Wonder Wheel who has looked fabulous out of the Alcibiades and Chop Chop closing. Hoping for a $50 exacta… Grand Love underneath in the tri and would have used Anatomically but getting steam and likely to be much lower than the ML

Juvy Fillies Turf: Xigeria will be ignored and can wire this field at 20-1… as much as it pains me to use Leparoux. Pleasant Passage another I will use prominently as well as Delight. Thinking a 5 horse tri and super play including Be Your Best, and G Laurie with a troubled trip out of the Natalma. Of course if I like those 2 probably need to look at Free Look and Cairo Consort and now too many to like… Ugh…. More studying to do as feel this race is the key to a very profitable day if like I am doing, you toss the Euros. Or I could be majorly wrong…..

Juvenile: As much as it pains me, Cave Rock seems to be heads and shoulders above this field. I think Lost Ark is a major player this spring on the Derby trail and he could rebound here to run a big 2nd and complete the exacta. Perhaps Verifying to complete the tri?

Juvy Turf: Stated I see lots to like with Andthewinneris doing things 2YOs on the turf typically do not: He closed with a rush going 5 1/2 at Kee to break his maiden which something horses do not usually do here. Toss the dirt try and the slow pace in the With Anticipation which compromised him. Last at Kee was impressive, tabbed him that day but wanted the ML 10-1 vs the 4-1 fav he went off. Still, Pratt getting off is pause for concern but Rosario a capable replacement…. With that said, Silver Knott looks incredibly well meant here. Trainer has won, what, 3 of the last 4 in this event. I think 2-1 will be a gift here. Maker has a shot here to complete the tri with Really Good and would boost the exotics for sure. Debating between Packs A Whalop who many seems to like and will likely be much lower than the ML 6-1, or Nagirocc who has much better odds.

Just listened to the Paddy Power Breeders Cup Podcast and Scott Hazelton said that a respected gambler he knows put $15k to win on Xigeria so there goes your 20-1 🤑

I posted her last week, but thought she was running on dirt.    Most all of her works are on dirt.

She did great on the inner turf at SAR......but wondering now if she would have done better sticking to dirt.  I really went out on a limb using her today as a result, wish I had not.
