Warming up for the Breeders Cup. A few I’m looking at today in my rolling picks 3’s.
5th Race - GENERAL JIM - ran 3rd to Bourbon Bash (who’s in a stake today) and then won his turf debut. Sharp work for this. Right back for Shug. Mendel’s Secret, Oscar Award, and Bling in the mix.
6th Race - BOURBON BASH - ran second to Blazing Sevens, who might be second choice in the Juvenile. After breaking his maiden by 8, his last two in Grade 1’s were not too good, but he did have excuses. Might not have cared for the slop and then showed speed on a tiring track at a longer distance. Worked 5f in a blazing 58.3. Sir Lancealot, Quick Hammer and Raise Cain in the mix.
7th Race - ARROGATES SPIRIT - my bomber of the day. Took money in his debut. Lost rider in the post parade so he might have been washed out. Arrogate is off to a great start as a sire. One more chance. Cape Trafalgar logical chalk. Iceatude and Power Seeker on some tickets.
8th Race - DOUBLE CLUTCH - another bomb. Split two good horses in the Manila. Edged out Ready to Purrform who came back to win the Hall of Fame stakes and is one of the favorites in this race and was second to Annapolis who is the top 3 year old turf horse in the country. Showed speed in longer. Is 1 for 1 over the Keeneland sod, and gets back winning jockey Lanerie.
9th - KING FURY - I’ll probably go to my grave betting him but I have to give him another shot!
Good Luck Steve

I'm with you on King fury. I think coming back in 3 weeks is HUGE given his spotty past. His last race wasn't too shabby either.
