KEE R6- Woodford S. (Grade II) (5 1/2F Turf)
#4- Golden Pal (4-5) is a machine turf sprinting in the US, but his race at SAR was funky, and today is only a prep for the big prize in four weeks. I think #7- Artemus Citylimits (9-2) has a legit chance of blasting away from the gate in front and hanging on going 5 1/2.
WIN- 7 EX- 4,7/2,4,5,7 Or maybe the connections of #7 decided that second-place $ in a $350K race was good enough. Never used that early speed from the gate. Too bad, Tyler fell asleep at the wire and they only got third.
KEE R8- First Lady S. (Grade I) (One Mile Turf)
Never know which Chad is the 'most' well-meant in a given race, but #4- In Italian (3-1) has a good chance of being two lengths in front on the turn, and Joel can give 'em the heater from there.
WIN- 4 EX- 4/2,3,5 Result: 4,5,2 Win $38.70 Exacta $16.80 Rosario put In Italian ($7.74) on the lead and slowed the half mile down to 47 flat, then went 23 3/5 & 22 4/5 so not even Regal Glory could catch him. Wish all GIs were that easy.
KEE R10- Coolmore Turf Mile S. (Grade I) (One Mile Turf)
Looking for a hot pace that #6- Ivar (6-1) can close into late, he won this race two years ago in similar fashion, and seems in top form after his Woodbine Mile second.
WIN- 6 EX- 6/3,5,8,9 Result: 8,6,3 Ivar got a pace to run at (1:10 flat) but always was just a bit too far back to get there, although he ran through to the wire to get second. Good ride by Irad from the eight-hole, got to the rail in third-place before the first turn and saved ground all the way around, tipping out in mid-stretch and holding the rest safe. Perfect trip that he won't likely see again any time soon.
