Of picking a horse that will be in last place at some point during their race. Could be at the start or soon after. Could be around the opening half or could be in the stretch. Anyone else have this talent? Is there a term for this besides LOSER?

Just bet mnr first race. Four horse field. 5-7 ex box paying decent around $17 each way. They were top two wagering choices. Ran last and next to last. lol

Never saw a episode of Seinfeld or friends , just snippets like the one above. Have a buddy that has never seen a episode of MASH or Cheers.

Anyone else have this talent? Is there a term for this besides LOSER? Time to take up knitting ? lol Yikes! I'd take a little time to re-evaluate your methods, and make some adjustments. Could only improve the outcome.

Knitting is not an option, tremors have rendered my hands very shaky. However making changes to my approach is a great suggestion. The things that happen in a race you can’t control are what really frustrate me. Front runner breaks two or three lengths behind the field, rushes up and hits the wall at top of the stretch. Horse gets sandwiched at start and loses all chance. Horse breaks good and for some reason the rider doesn’t go on with it eventually winds up trying to circle the field. Horse stumbles out of the gate. Horse blows the turn. Rider loses irons. I seem to pick my fair share of those types.

Those situations cannot be helped.(out of your control) What you can do is look to value.(so hopefully when things go right they compensate for when the sh*it hits the fan...and we've all been there, where the race is "fubar") First and foremost this should be fun, if it is, "f" the knitting (I was just kidding) and have fun. If you're having fun, you're a WINNER .

toga is tough---losing streaks are never fun....... keep it small until things turn, and if you are good enough, it will nothing wrong with knitting.....

Love the #6 Betsy Blue in the 8th at Toga. So if you’re on this one beware.

@ toga, seems that regardless of surface, runners seem to stop within the 1/8 pole when trying to come up the rail. Am I imagining is? 5 days 14 wagers all losers So I might be a touch jaded…….

Three winners, one third, and one scratch. I needed a day like this after the funk I was in for the last three weeks.

After an 0-13 start at Saratoga, similar to others, I've gone 8-15 to sit at 8 of 28, mostly small exactas and a few win tickets. $159 in//$141 out, so still in the red. First three days I just felt completely out of step, but now I'm seeing races better. Once I'm firmly planted (maybe now?) I'll start to up the bet amounts and toss marginal plays, which have done me no good at all so far. Good luck fellow gamblers, hope the cycle comes around for all of us.

I had one horse all day, didn’t bet a dime, but picked for the contest. Short price. Literally stop running on the nack stretch.
I have the knack.
