I just stumbled upon this article last night and it gives a big secret as to who to bet on for Saturday:

site requires a sign-in / sign-up... PLUS+ pop-up warnings, etc.
Perhaps, you can simply share THE SECRET here? Or better yet --- post your thoughts on the race.

I have a good, good feeling about Epicenter

Right on, GGK! A lot of folks like your Epicenter. Can I ask... What is your style of play? Will you be using Epicenter as a single? Do you play Pick 3, Pick 4s or exactas & trifectas?
I'll be in after-shock if Epicenter wins because he's a "play against" for me. But that is what's so wonderful about horse racing. It's fun figuring out the puzzle. So, as a dear old friend used to say, "If it isn't mine, I hope it's yours."

I have Epicenter in the Future4, so that's out of the way, but not sure he is going to win. Glad I have him at 14-1 though.
Not hearing of any wise guys yet...maybe Cyber Knife is the closest to a wise guy horse this year?
There's a few that I like so far, but have kept coming back to Charge It as one that's going to relish the distance on Saturday.

The craziest thing about this race is how many great jockeys who haven't won it yet.
I see the best at a meet week in and week out still looking to pop their cherry in the Derby.

The weather forecast has me leaning toward Smile Happy. Been high on Epicenter, but just have a sneaky suspicion things will not go his way.Taiba looks to be a west coast freak and with only 2 starts, both at three, can't back him.

Fundamentals say...
3 Epicenter 102
6 Messier 103
12 Taiba 103 Box the 100+ Beyer earners. Unless you require Simplification.

I’ll throw in Zandon with these three. His last was excellent and he might have been closer in the Risen Star with better luck. As noted by bitofwisdom, Taiba could just be a freak and run away with it.

Now it's cyberknife? Does anyone want to HELP ME OUT with cyberknife? I'm just not seeing it. Oaklawn is my home track. I am not convinced that he beat a whole lot in the AR Derby, for all practical purposes, many of us believe it was one of the worst fields ever. As for Zandon maybe bottom of a superfecta for me at best. probably not using at all for tris. As a closer, I just don't think he's fast enough to work his way to the front in this race.

I don't frequent this board much, but have been around since The Bloodhorse Days and have made many friends because of this on-line medium. Through ALL of the people who have spent time in this ecosystem, quite a few I have met and plenty of others I haven't and gained so much insight from...I might just have learned today, it's not Who will win, but How you'll win. If not for folks like G and Larry, and the wise discourse for decades, I may have never covered this Epicenter future with and ALL/3 exacta today. Glad I have learned and found a way to strategically get lucky today.

Hi Ski. Congratulations.
I too am from the Bloodhorse days and one strategy I learned and do use when I have a horse I like is $20 win and back wheel it in the exacta for a dollar.
Wondering if that’s what your bet was?

Quick, it was a cover on the Future Bet I had on him, plain and simple. There is no doubt a younger me would have tried to save some money on that and not used ALL, and I'd be woulda coulda'ing myself this morning.
Got destroyed yesterday until the 11th and 12th.
I was just feeling sentimental because of my luck last night and wanted to express gratitude on that.

Nice job ski, the back wheel whether it's for the Derby or a big Breeder's Cup race can be your friend for sure!
