"All others" in the Futures pools

This is always of interest to me. In pool 4 (which is the only one I played), for the Derby, you now have:

Happy Jack
Messier
Taiba
Tawny Port 
Crown Pride
Summer is Tomorrow
Tiz the Bomb

you get all of those @ 4-1.

This year it is a bit skewed because Baffert's horses at the time were not included (Messier would certainly have had an individual entry otherwise). In addition my guess is that the all others maybe be playing at less than 4-1 in the exacta and Oaks/Derby Double pools as many people threw in #24 on their tickets (I know I did).

For the Oaks future, you currently get:

Desert Dawn
Cocktail Moment
Candy Raid

This doesn't look very good now. Since the Oaks pool has 23 individual entries for only 14 possible spots, you are never going to get as many Oaks horses in the race from #24.

If my math is correct the 7 horses at 4-1 in the pool are now valued at 3.73 to produce a winner (using the ML odds)  8-1,12-1,20-1 30-1 30-1 30-1 30-1

So per the math eye, it is slightly better than fair odds, although I don't think Taiba will stay at 12-1.

That is a great play carrying those horses
all the way from pool 2. Good luck!

That's exactly the kind of wager
I believe should be rewarded by
refunding the bet to the player.
If your horse makes it to the gate
it's a free play.

I think they'd triple the action in the future pools.
