I think 1968 was the first time I heard a song by Status Quo. Edited with lyrics.

Very underrated band (over here)
Saw them live in Scotland in the mid seventies

I have to agree with you Bev. I literally stumbled into them on the net some time back and started listening to their music frequently. While Rossi was the leader Rick Parfitt was the true player that made the band a success.

I don't believe The Status Quo ever performed in the US so maybe only a handful of UICers have ever heard of them - hence Spank didn't have anything to add the info about the band so he added something to some other bands.

I've heard the song but did't recognize the name of the band. A friend and I at one time had a DJ service, The Travelin' DJ's ...and my partner had recorded Matchstick Men on one of DVD's we played. We played High school dances, wedding receptions, etc...had a blast doing that and played at some crazy events. We played in a dance hall once for a swingers club here! Interesting night...lol..the parties after the dances always ended up moving to somebody's place to continue the party.
