Is this gong to push back the dates for future pools 6 & 7? Why they heck are there 5...
Still not sure why they don't make a list of all of the nominees, give them all a 4 (or 5) digit code and make us bet it like a pick 4 (or 5)

Elk, I don't get the delay. Seems like they are trying to take some uncertainty out of a FUTURES bet!
"We truly believe this is in the best interest of bettors to delay the wager by one week to allow a clearer picture after this weekend’s Florida Derby, Arkansas Derby and Jeff Ruby Steaks, and to better understand the status of horses who intend to ship to Churchill Downs for Kentucky Derby 148.”

Having the pool open on Saturdays when a lot of the horses are running is a big problem IMO. IMO, it should open on a during the week and close Friday.

My idea is...
if your future bet
makes the gate,
it's a free play.
Refund the wager.
"Future Pool 1-2-3 Insurance."
Think more people would play?

Think more people would play? I think that absolutely more people would play. Even if you capped the refund amount at a modest amount.

With a 2% take out to cover costs and maybe a little something extra as a residual payment to the fellow who came up with the idea.
