Holy Bull at GP seemed like a solid race. White Abarrio was given a 97 Beyer, which was a big jump up, so they'll give him time and run back in the Florida Derby as his final Derby prep. Simplification was unprepared for the start, but he learned how to sit behind horses and finish, so that was a plus. Mo Donegal got what they wanted from his seasonal debut, closing with interest late. Others ran as expected other than Tiz the Bomb, who can now go back to turf where he belongs. Not sure what McPeek saw that made him waste this start on dirt, other than it's early in the season and the 3yo turf stakes haven't really gotten into gear yet. He would have been the favorite in the Kitten's Joy (GIII) earlier on the card. The runners from the Jerome Stakes on New Year's Day didn't do much running, so who knows if that was a truly run race? Un Ojo and Gilded Age both made big closing runs, watch them as they run back.
