....and keep the right to maintain the more profitable card room.....In November they sold off 115 acres(of what was Calder for $291 Million)...retaining 54 acres with future plans to sell off the land fronting 27th ave.
(Pools non-existing) Jai Lai a dying sport (this is only one of a few that still exist...all FL based) (For anyone who remembers going to the games back in the 70's when the places were packed...who would have thought)
Sample game from a few months ago. (Notice the payoffs at the end)

This is kind of mind blowing from a standpoint of just how big a farce FL law is towards allowing individuals to set up card rooms. Calder took advantage with this excuse for Jai Lai...Oxford Downs(what a joke, as is Hialeah Race Track) when using "match" races (a couple of quarter horses running a few hundred yards) to allow them the lucrative card room revenue. This pdf shows the "handle" if you can call it that on a matinee card at Calder Jai Lai in May. Every wager was a refund...no handle www.caldercasino.com/wp-content/uploads/jai-alai-processed/20210508_results_matinee.pdf Anyone interested can look at what FL is trying to do on the sports betting side. Special interests looking to cash another easy wager.
