it seems an interesting way to gamble on horses. 2 for the price of 1. ... Enjoy watching the sales! That is how I got into ownership. Purchased a mare in foal to Citidancer in 1999 for $46,000. Sold the weanling for $20,500. Kept her next foal (Hookedonjoy) to race. She and her foal of 2002 both died shortly after an emergency c-section. Tough game. |

a few years ago, we bought a Coolmore mare in foal to Verrazano
