Can not get any information on where they have decided to do this? Was Santa Anita suppose to get this if the Pandemic did not happen. I have heard rumors of the Stronach family campaigning for Laurel, rumors of NY (Belmont wanting it back) Or of course, the return to Churchill again. Thoughts?

Most of the people on this website are so old we don’t even buy green bananas.
Breeders Cup 2023 is way too far ahead for us to be thinking about 😉

Santa Anita General Manager this summer.
Q: Are you optimistic Santa Anita will get the 2023 Breeders’ Cup, and is Santa Anita currently in negotiations with Breeders’ Cup officials to host the event in 2023?
I think there’s a chance, but I’m not sure I’m supposed to say (if negotiations are ongoing). I’ll stay out of that one.

Good news for us in the northeast.
There's also planning for the eventual return of the Breeders' Cup to New York for the first time since 2005 once renovations at Belmont Park are completed. NYRA CEO and president Dave O'Rourke said in the current edition of BloodHorse magazine that his timetable for hosting the event is between 2025-27.

seems like the announcements usually come in Aug/Sept. Supersized they don't have 2023 firmed up.
