Dylan is not my friend and gash darn it,
I hate not having the right longshot... if there's a longshot... I should have it.
That's company policy.

WO R4 (2:55pm EDT)- 6 1/2 F Turf OC62500N2X 3up (scr- 11,13)
Bit of a headscratcher with long layoffs, turnbacks, dual early speedballs, deep closers, and class droppers. Woodbine clocker says the rail is good, we'll see. #8- Sir Seamus (6-1) is one of the early speeds, just missed at this level last time going an additional 1/16th. Don't think the #12 can clear him. #10- White Flag (3-1) has the back class, just needs to be ready after the long layoff. Series of workouts are spectacular.
EX- 8,10/2,5,8,10

Result: 10,2,8 Exacta $93.40 White Flag ($12.70) was up to the task off the long layoff, at a surprisingly good price. Hot pace (12 did clear the 8 to take the lead) helped the 2- Lapochka (7-1) get up late for second. 8- Sir Seamus held well for third.

WO R8 (5:06pm EDT)- 1 Mile Turf Natalma S. (GI) 2yo F $400,000
#5- Wild Beauty (5-2) has been progressive in her five starts, finished second in a Listed (behind the rising star Inspiral) and a GIII in last two. Might like a bit of cut in the ground, but handles good going and daughter of Frankel will find a mile well within her scope. Godolphin/Appleby/Dettori. #7- Diabolic (3-1) is undefeated and progressive in her three outings, should make another forward move and is in with a chance for Casse/Gallardo. I really like #2-Pizza Bianca (4-1) (although I don't like white pizza that much) but she would need to really improve today. Clement has given her time, perhaps with this race in mind, five works at Saratoga. One to follow down the road.
EX- 5,7/1,2,5,6,7
BEL R9 (5:16pm EDT)- 1 Mile Turf Pebbles S. (GIII) 3yo F $150,000 (scr- 4,13)
#1- Plum Ali (7-2) is the class of the field, drops into this spot and shortens up trying to get back on track with a victory. No Con Limas, Higher Truths, or Santa Barbaras in here. #7- Nazuna (5-1) showed some quality in GB (GII-placed), wanted no part of 10 furlongs last time. Now in Chad's program, gets Irad aboard. #12- Runaway Rumour (6-1) drew very wide which compromises her chances, she's a good filly.
EX- 1,7/3,5,7,12
WO R9 (5:39pm EDT)- 1 Mile Turf Summer S. (GI) 2yo $400,000
On paper #4- Albahr (7-5) is light-years better than these, strongly progressive, stakes winner at the distance. Godolphin/Appleby/Dettori.
TRI- 4/1,3,6,8/1,3,6,8

EX- 5,7/1,2,5,6,7 Result: 5,2,10 Exacta $20.60 Wild Beauty ($4.90) broke poorly and was last early, but swept past the field entering the stretch for an easy win. Pizza Bianca ran very well for a clear second, I really think this is going to be a good horse. Stable mail her.BEL R9 (5:16pm EDT)- 1 Mile Turf Pebbles S. EX- 1,7/3,5,7,12 Result: 11,9,12 Strangely run race, with the jockeys on the favorites restraining their mounts (rank?) despite the slow pace in the one-turn mile. Plum Ali never showed a thing after that, and Nazuna made a middle move but flattened out. Spanish Loveaffair ($63.00) was a huge overlay, GIII winner at GP in February, ran okay in graded-stakes company since, sat second all the way around and had lots left in the lane. Runaway Rumour was the best of the closers, tab that one to bet back with a better post.WO R9 (5:39pm EDT)- 1 Mile Turf Summer S. TRI- 4/1,3,6,8/1,3,6,8 Result: 4,3,6 Triple $94.20 Albahr showed her class, now four-of-five and already a GI winner at a mile heading into next year. Got 9-1 & 14-1 for second and third (Magnier and the other Godolphin) for an unexpectedly good triple score. You never know in this game, beaten up and left at the curb yesterday, flush with cash again today. TW
