While watching speed horses dominate at DMR all NHC weekend, I couldn't help but thing about Knicks Go in the classic. He can run it like a mile race and wing it. The track will carry him the last 1/4... Long way out, but hard to see anyone beating him at this point.

I guess Knicks Go could pull a Ghostzapper and wire the field. He's that fast and 5/2 (just like Ghostzapper) if you like him would seem like a steal.
But Medina Spirit is a pretty stubborn front runner, and Hot Rod Charlie (with blinkers this time) sure didn't run the Belmont like he was saving anything for later. These two are confident front runners who would seem to compromise each other and Knicks Go.
The Knicks Go choice of prep race isn't what I'd look for in a future BC champion either.
I'll try max player. I am a sucker for the older horses who figure it out, and I like the ones who lay closer to the pace as they get older. Essential Quality seems to bring it every race too. His career PPs would look very nice indeed with another 1st place.
It's a great field with good stories, and the best 3 y/o class since 2007.

Art Collector is now 3-3 under Mott/Saez. That's my play @8-1. Also going to use Express train @20-1. Likes Del Mar and was favored just 2 races back in the Pacific Classic. Last 2 races not so good but that's why you get 20-1 in a 9 horse field.

Shame Saez is not on Art Collector this time around. I like him but I see it as a duel between Knicks Go and Essential Quality as they head to the wire

With all the speed, I think Essential Quality can lay 3rd or 4th and pounce. This horse is an underrated champion.

Steve 8 for 9 and a 4th beaten all of a length with some trouble, a must use on all tickets. HRC should be able to sit just a little closer than EQ and gets first jump on the leaders, takes down top honors over EQ. I would not be surprised to see an all 3yo finish this year. Forego

This is the Native Dancer of 2021. Win: EQ Exacta "extract some value" play: EQ / Max Player, Hot Rod Charlie, Tripoli

All EQ for me as have been on him since before he started as a 2YO. He closes it out today in still. Medina Spirit scares me after watching Corniche yesterday but I can’t bet him. Kind of the same with Hot Rod Charlie with this set up as just too much speed if they all run the way they typically do. I just see Tripoli and Max Player making moves late and think Knicks Go could hang around for the tri
