Looking forward to Saturday @ The Curragh----totally different flow than Royal Ascot, though the Irish runners seem on top currently imo.

Curragh
Race 1 #1 SPEAK IN COLOURS is coming out of the best races and has a high win %, hasn’t hit the board on this course. #8 ROMANTIC PROPOSAL is coming off of a very nice 2nd here, beating #16 TERESA MENDOZA, with only one win, while competitive here not in too deep. #4 MAKE A CHALLENGE is a high % winner, with a 11-5-3 record on the course.
Race 2 Not strong on anything here—probably El Paso. O’Brien’s #5 MORE BEAUTIFUL again has the class over others and with rider Moore. Only one win on the chart, still the barn put her in here……. The two French shippers are the wild cards—both can win races.
Race 3 Once again I like an O’Brien runner—#4 CADAMOSTO. Comes out of a very hot Royal Ascot G2 last week—will he start? Same with #8 GO BEARS GO Tough loss in the same race. Probably the sensible choices are #5 CASTLE STAR, with spot on course form + a month break, and #6 DR. ZEMPF, an expensive US owned off a nice maiden win on the course. Quite a few others that could improve from finishing behind those mentioned above.
Race 4 The big one……Appleby/Buick have been hot lately, particularly the trainer, if he can carry his streak across the water with #5 HURRICANE LANE. Dettori rides #6 LONE EAGLE, who either wins or is in a photo. Can’t leave out #7 MAC SWINEY coming from two G1s and 3 of 5 on the course. #11 WORDSWORTH seems very capable of out-running his odds and has successful course experience. #4 HIGH DEFINITION has the perfect pedigree and opens at 9/5. The ticket builder shooters may be #1 ARTURO TOSCANINI and #2 EARLSWOOD.
Race 5 Harrington/Foley return with #8 CADILLAC. Barn has been very cold and the colt will be short-priced, however Ireland is where they do best. They also run #3 NJORD. Mullins drops in class while shortening up with #6 TRUE SELF. #1 DAWN PATROL fill the gimmick.
Good luck!

Curragh
R1- Couldn't split the top three, so using them all. 4- Make A Challenge (4-1) runs his race most every time, seems to find his best form in the summer, just missed in GII last time. 8- Romantic Proposal (6-1) is also a consistent sort, rounding to peak form in two starts this season, 1/2 length runner-up finish to Sonaiyla in GIII here points her out. 16- Teresa Mendoza (8-1) lightly raced 3yo filly finished just behind Romantic Proposal in that GIII, may have more to offer with only five starts.
EX- 4,8,16/1,4,8,14,15,16
R2- 1- Galtee Mist (5-1) is in peak form right now, carries high weight but she may just be too good for this group. 6- French Rain (8-1) just missed on seasonal debut, never really put it all together last year after smart debut, thinking that O'Brien the Younger has figured her out.
EX- 1,6/1,2,5,6,8,14
R3- 5- Castle Star (5-2) was held back from Royal Ascot to run here, sky is the limit for this progressive 2yo colt. 6- Dr Zempf (4-1) is very interesting, a $570K son of Dark Angel purchased by Peter Brant. Impressive win in only start, they may have a good one here.
EX- 5,6/4,5,6,7,8,9
Newmarket
R3- 2- Cachet (4-1) ran okay at Ascot. comes right back and may appreciate firmer going. 5- Desert Dreamer (7-1) ran mid-pack in GII at Ascot, Oisin Murphy sticks with her so I will too.
EX- 2,5/2,5,9,10,12,13
R4- Scratched down to field of six. Let's see if Hollie Doyle can steal this Listed stakes aboard 4- Outbox (10-1).
WIN- 4
Newcastle
R1- 2- Streamline (15-1) had four solid races to start the season before a dud at Kempton in March. Got a little time off, can come back running. 4- Ejtilaab (5-1) is in fine turf form, just cut back to 6F and won a hot handicap at Epsom, one-for-two on AW.
EX- 2,4/1,2,3,4,6,10,14
R3- 11- Chil Chil (7-1) is in career form, just ran away from Lord Rapscallion at Newmarket last time, is AW 4/1-0-1, take all of that price you can get. Wild card is 13- Diligent Harry (7-2) who is a nose shy of being four-for-four lifetime. 3yo colt has been highly progressive, not sure that stops today.
EX- 11,13/5,7,8,10,11,13

Newmarket
R5- 1- Kinross (5-2) showed little in the desert this winter, but his reappearance at Haydock was a solid win under Frankie Dettori, maybe Hollie Doyle can continue that form today. With Thanks (10-1) looks interesting for Haggas/Marquand. Clearly relishes the 7F distance, finished well behind the top one in last but should come on for that run, price should be right.
EX- 1,9/1,2,4,7,8,9 1,9 scratched.
Newcastle
R4- Northumberland Vase, consolation race for horses that didn't make the field for the Plate. 6- Raymond (12-1) kept poking at me from the PPs, saying "look at my form", so I did and I'll take a flyer with him. Probably not as good as some of these on their best days, but he's on his best days, so there you go. 15- Indigo Times (12-1) has impeccable form if you toss the turf try two back, steps up in class but deserves the shot.
6,15/2,4,6,7,9,15,17
R5- Northumberland Plate, a field of twenty going 2mi 56yds on the AW, always a spectacle and a race that seasons are built around and up to. 4- Watersmeet (20-1) will be a huge price, but I couldn't stop thinking "why not?" 10yo gelding can still bring it, had a prep at Wolverhampton in February, was fourth in this race in 2018. Turn back the clock! 7- Dubious Affair (7-1) should be a hot ticket after just missing in the Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot.
EX- 4,7/1,2,3,4,7,12,18
Chester
R3- With most of the top names engaged elsewhere today, trainer Mark Johnston reaches out to Royston Ffrench to ride 8- Sibaaq (7-2), a progressive son of Dark Angel, which has a win and a second in two tries this season. 3- Cairn Island (5-1) could be the main danger to the top choice, following a third-place finish behind Creative Force and Significantly, both of which won at Royal Ascot.
EX- 3,8/2,3,7,8

Late note that TwinSpires is offering $.50 tris on Curragh races. Worked for me in the 3rd.
So far on the plus side with two more races to go before a CD/Bel afternoon
Good luck!

Curragh
R4- 5- Hurricane Lane (5-1) had a decent run in the Epsom Derby for third in his first try at 12F, may not have cared for deeper ground, taken to improve today on better surface. 11- Wadsworth (15-1) is just the kind of O'Brien horse that wins these things as a "surprise". Slowly progressive in four starts, son of Galileo just missed in the Queen's Vase, now cuts back in distance. Upset special.

Appleby is winning everything everywhere. big finish and back to back tris my way. coming back here @ 10f might be asking a lot from CADILLAC, with TRUE SELF looking very strong here imo>

That was one of the best races of the year in my opinion. Good for Hurricane Lane for running down the loose leader at the wire.
Curragh
R6- Seems a bit odd that Cadillac and Ontario show up in this race together with only one win between them since they finished 2 and 3 behind Mac Swiney here last summer. Don't like either one today. 5- Thunder Kiss (10-1) has done little wrong in seven starts, took the Munster Oaks last out and turns back to 10F today. Handles all surfaces. 6- True Self (7-2) is a winning machine when healthy, and quite a world traveler to boot. Took down the big prize in Saudi, just missed in GI here last month. Big chance today.
