Wednesday night before the third leg of the Triple Crown on this site and not one word/thread mentioning the post positions or thoughts on the entries.
I just find that incredible.
Am I missing something?

You know how when there's a horse and you think to yourself, "Any horse but this horse!"? Medina Spirit was that horse for me in the Kentucky Derby. Add Bob's BS and another KD DQ
and it really kind of ruins the mood. Perhaps Breeders' Cup @ Keeneland will bring renewed interest.
I hope so.

I think we are all a little bit tired after the last three years. Adding in what Dell said plus the last year with the pandemic, triple crown races all over the place, Maximum Security the year before, and now the Baffert saga. Just a bit much. Horse players not feeling appreciated.(And probably just a little burned out) Get Saratoga,Del Mar running and throw in a little Breeders Cup.....maybe the oomph might return.

Once you get past all my nonsense posting... turns out we have some very fine conversation about today's races at Belmont Park.
Bring on Saratoga and Del Mar!

Essential Quality showed what a Class horse does at 12F. I was thrilled that he won. I wonder how he would do on grass, they should take him over the pond to run some of the classy races over there.
7 probables dropping out didn't help the odds, and once you saw the lack of value, it was easy to pass the race.
It's a shame more trainers don't want to run their horses in a drug-free Triple Crown here. Maybe there's "too much counting back the days" for drugs to wear off and nobody wants to end up like Baffert caught with their pants down.
Rombauer sure is a head case, isn't he?
Epsom Derby was a better value and instead of a $10 trifecta it was $4,000. Best to cap the races that have good odds. (I didn't play either as my key in the Epsom scratched) Ascot should be good.

Did everyone (except me) know this? I did not know this. It was in WaPo. I don't remember seeing it in any racing publications or any talking heads even mentioning it? But I'm supposed to invest in U.S. racing with my wagering dollars? Article from before the Preakness: "Robertino Diodoro, who races long-shot Keepmeinmind, is competing while under a suspended sentence handed down last year by the Minnesota Racing Commission for two positive drug tests." www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/05/14/bob-baffert-preakness-horse-racing-mess/

a related sign of the times cause, is the growth/popularity of other platforms vs. this style of message board over the past 5 years +. Just harder to replace each active member, and we end up with a less active group over time.
