SAN 2 (1:15EDT)- 5f National Stakes (Listed Race) (Class 1) (2yo)
2yos making their case for a Royal Ascot start. Lots of rain over there for the last ten days, so handling soft ground could be the key. Boxing the three which have handled it already, #3- Ebro River (7-1), #5- Little Earl (10-1) and #6- Navello (5-2).

SAN 3 (1:50EDT)- 2m Henry II Stakes (Group 3) (Class 1) (4yo+)
The stayers race to prep for the Gold Cup, and Stradivarius. #2- Ocean Wind (6-5) is a very exciting horse. He started as an ordinary hurdler, but then hit the flat and hasn't looked back. Only beaten a length by Stradivarius in the Sagaro S. (GIII) at Ascot last time. Doesn't want to empty the tank here, but may just be too good for this bunch. To make a wager out of it, using him over outsider #5- Lismore (15-1) from the Henry De Bromhead barn, which is having a stellar season already over jumps and flat. 4yo filly ran a corker at Gowran Park last time in a Listed event, maybe #1- Nayef Road (8-5) is still working back into form.

SAN 4 (2:25EDT)- 1m2f Brigadier Gerard Stakes (In Memory Of Joe Mercer) (Group 3) (Class 1) (4yo+)
Four horse field with the scratch of Oriental Mystique. #1- Euchen Glen (15-1) is clearly off form and won't likely turn it all around here. #2- Extra Elusive (2-1) runs his eyeballs out for Hollie Doyle, and made a good impression when third on turf reappearance over this course and distance last time. They'll be eyeballing #4- Sangarius (Even) just to their inside. Juddmonte runner was second to Armory in a GII on seasonal debut, has the reputation but the numbers say he's not any better than these on everyone's best. Flying under the radar is my pick #3- Fox Tal (5-1) for Andrew Balding and Silvestre De Sousa. Close second in a good handicap at Chester last time, handles the soft going and may surprise the top two with blinkers added today.
WIN- 3

Little Earl ran gamely for second, just wouldn't let anyone else by, making for a nice exacta. Three horses with soft ground form ran 1,2,3.TW

EX- 2/5 Result- 5,4,2 So Lismore ($17.40) decided to embarrass everyone, taking over with three furlongs to run and widening to an insurmountable lead before pulling herself up a bit towards the finish. Nayef Road was listless in last place, something is clearly amiss with him. Seemed like Jack Mitchell on Ocean Wind threw in the towel about a furlong or so out when he saw he wasn't making a dent, saving some for Royal Ascot or is there an issue there too? TW
